Bought the LR3 transmission filter conversion kit. Started leaking right after installation. Ended up replacing it with the Ford pan and Felpro gasket. Much better, no leaks. Should've researched more before ordering.

We sent you what you ordered. Sorry you bought the wrong part. You have a 2017 Range Rover Evoque and bought the gas cap for the 2012 - 2013 model Evoque. The product page clearly states it for the 2012 - 2013 model years:
Very bad customer service. I should have looked at the reviews before ordering a part on the Internet as they have a history of sending the wrong p art. They did indeed send me the wrong part and refused to acknowledge the fact, asserted it was not their fault. They eventually refunded but refused to pay the return shipping fees. They claim that customer satisfaction is their top priority. Not true unfortunately. They made the mistake and I had to pay for it.
