Very hard to get an appointment at this surgery. I was 6 in line to be told they had all been allocated by people standing outside. The system needs to change how appointments are allocated. 2 years later and still no better. Stood outside this time and actually managed to get an appointment for my ill 3 year old. Even after explaining she had been suffering with d&v for 5 days and now had no energy we was told its not an emergency and we would have to wait til after 3.30 for a Dr to call. Phoned 111 who sent an ambulance immediately and my child was monitored then admitted. I'd suggest the receptionists go and get some training on what their job actually is and stop making medical decisions when not qualified. However When you go actually get to see or speak to a doctor they are amazing.
Kept in a queue only to be told no appointments left it would be curtious... if they gave you a time for the next day instead of telling you to phone again tomorrow and wait in the queue again could go on forever! VERY POOR SERVICE
I have never had a problem, I've been with this surgery for many years. Yes it takes a while to get through on the phone. But it's very rare that I can't get an appointment especially if it's a real emergency. All the reception staff are very friendly. The doctors I have seen always listen to what I'm saying & never rush me.
Receptionist was rude, personally invasive with questions and had NO compassion whatsoever! "Wait until Monday", was the reply, or contact emergency Respiratory team! The doctors and receptionists have always been fab, until today. This has now made me feel very uncomfortable with calling again, and that the receptionist on today, needs to be looking at the extremely vulnerable people, like myself. Who need medical support! Whilst being bed bound for 8 months, with multiple medical conditions, a social care package, and many regular controlled drugs aside from this. Todays experience has effected my mental state, and trust with this doctors surgery. At a time when i need them the most! I still cant believe they have treated me in this way... I will be finding a way of lodging a formal complaint with the CQC about the role of this receptionist. Who by the way asked for my name at the end of the conversation! No DOB/ address? Refused to document my call, yet wanted my name? Let's hope that I'm ok until Monday! You horrible, and inconsiderate person, I hope you are dealt with accordingly.
