Great thrift shop that I enjoy exploring, but Im often so disappointed by the customer service. I went in to consign brand items twice in the past year, silk, wool sweaters, brands like Sandro, Ted Baker and Tommy Hilfiger and the staff (and the owner) were rude and unpleasant. I was lectured to bring in items on hangers - which isnt always possible if you walk or bike everywhere, staff suggested I go home, clean items and try again (pilling or some fibers on a wool sweater doesnt mean its dirty) and it just felt like theyd rather not help me or look at my items. I have been here several times now, both as a paying customer and consigner and have left frustrated with the unkind, condescending treatment.
Incredible experience thrifting here! Its a dream for a grad student budget. The owner and staff were attentive, kind and helpful. The prices are SO good compared to retail stores. I got a super nice Zara coat for $28, a CS Princeton sweatshirt for $12, an Ann Taylor cardigan for $12, and so on. All clean and nearly new or new condition (hence the name of the store)!
It's a cute and charming little shop, but half the clothes are in poor condition. A few items caught my eye because they were unique and interesting, but most of the items that caught my eye did so because they were damaged. We're talking major holes, stains, and pilling. It's a lovely store with a great concept (from what I understand, it's a non-profit for one of the local schools) and the girls who work there are very friendly and helpful. The only issues I had were the damaged (and in many cases, overpriced) merchandise, and the fact that the store was poorly organized and kind of dirty. Overall it is a nice store that I would recommend to anyone who, like me, loves thrifting. Just so long as they keep a close eye out for damage on the clothing.
