Troy is an amazing instructor. He is patient and tailors the experience to what the individual wants. He uses headset radios so you are constantly in communication and can easily hear over the wind. That added to my feeling of security. All equipment was in good working order. It is unrealistic to expect to be an expert after only a 2 hour lesson, but Troy will make sure you get quality instruction and have a good time. I would definitely take a lesson from him again.

Im new to wing foiling. Troy did a great job of giving me all the fundamentals while on the beach, and explaining what could go wrong. He talked me through positioning and turns while on the board. I appreciated his calm way of explaining everything. I would definitely recommend him to a friend.

Troy is fun and safety conscious! He starts with some practice on the beach which pays off when you get in the water. He sends you in the water to try something new, at the right time, with resources to self correct. He takes the time to teach in a caring way- he wants you to succeed!

Can't say enough great things about Troy! One of the best teachers I've ever learned from, regardless of sport/discipline. As background - I'm a beginner/intermediate kiter (been kiting 2 years ~every other weekend). I wanted to work on riding toe side, popping, and jumping. In a 3 hour individual lesson we were able to cover all three of these topics and more. At the end I was able to do all three confidently and have the skill set and technical understanding to keep improving on them going forward. This was my first lesson aside from my introductory lesson and I'm so impressed at how much I was able to improve in such a short amount of time. I highly recommend lessons with Troy if you're visiting Maui!
