REVIEW EDIT: Since my initial review, I have received an apology from Burkes Digital and they have reimbursed me in full for the service charge. I appreciate their professionalism and willingness to correct this situation. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this printer from Burks Digital in October 2017 from Brian Beavers. Even though though I could have purchased this printer online for $200 less, we chose to buy this printer from Mr. Beavers simply because he is local, and we try to support our local businesses. I also considered future servicing of our printer would be easiest done locally. A couple of months ago, our printer began making an odd noise, so I called Burks Digital and a technician came out to look at the printer. I was charged a service call charge and a quarterly hour rate. I think my bill was in the $200 to $300 range. The noise was a little better, but still not quite right. A few days later, the noise began to get louder, so I called and asked for someone to come out and look at it again. The service technician came out and was not able to determine why the printer was making the noise and did not know how to fix it. I was told that he would have to research it and get back with me. I have not heard anything from Burks Digital and it has been almost a month now. I called CAD Supplies in Austin who had worked on our old printer. The man from CAD Supplies told me that all HP printers have a one-year warranty and our printer should still be covered under warranty. He recommended I call HP and tell them about my issue and they should come out and fix my printer for free. I called HP and sure enough, I have a one-year warranty and they will be sending a technician out to fix the printer. The man at HP said that he has been working with the T730 for 2 years now and just by describing the issue I was having, he knows exactly what part needs to be replaced. He told me that I should not have had to pay a technician to look at the printer. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with Burks Digital and I will not be using or recommending Burks Digital in the future.
