Dear Jolie, First and foremost I want to categorically state we have never not tattooed someone because of the colour of their skin. I have spoken with the shop manager and the artist who you spoke to. You had a consultation with our artist Tubi during which you asked if he would prefer to tattoo you in black or in colour and he said he prefers to work in black and showed you his work on his Instagram which is all blackwork. You then emailed us asking to book an appointment for a Saturday or a Sunday. Tubi does not work on Sundays so we offered you the first available Saturday he had which was in March. You replied that this was too long for you and you would go to another tattoo parlour and we wished you the best with that. We would have happily tattooed you sooner if we could have but we cannot change the fact that the first available Saturday space this artist has is currently in March and that is longer than you want to wait. Hi Jack, I am sorry you have had a bad experience at the shop. Would you be able to let me know when you were pierced and what you got as I have not been able to locate your appointment in the diary and this will allow me to look into the matter further? With regards to the consent forms, since we were allowed to reopen after lockdown we have tried to do everything we can to keep our staff and customers safe by limiting the time a customer spends in the shop. This includes having customers fill in forms in advance if possible, however this is a new process and there may be some teething problems. When I looked for your appointment I also checked for an email with the consent form and I couldn't see any sent to or from you in the last few months. Without knowing the piercing and being able to speak with the piercer about it I cannot speak to the time taken to do it but as to the cost, our prices are pretty much in line with other high end studios in Glasgow. We also use implant grade metal jewellery as standard to avoid a bad reaction or infection that can happen with low quality jewellery. Customers often choose to upgrade to high end jewellery at the time of their piercing and if pieces for the piercing you were getting were popular at the time it may be we had less options available than usual which is unfortunate. The place looked clean and the piercing was professionally done but I had emailed the paperwork as requested. It took me ages to download the app required and fill it all in and when I got there they made me fill it all in again on paper. The piercing process took nearly an hour which seemed excessive. The piercing was also treble the price of other local places I discovered afterwards. They said on the phone they had a large selection of jewellery to choose from but when I got there they said they were low on stock and there was only a few. I won't be back.

I've been to a log of tattooists before but Tubi is by far the best I've ever been to. What this guy can do with a single needle is amazing. A true artist!!!

Hi Katherine, Sorry for the delay with this response, I was trying to get the information about your tattoo. From what can see you were originally tattooed in mid-2019 and at the time left us a 5 Star review saying you were happy with the tattoo, the service and the experience. As far as I have been able to check you have not been in touch with us since then to raise any issues about your tattoo. As every person heals differently and there can be any number of factors that can affect a tattoo as it heals we always offer a free touch up service if a tattoo needs it. This is something that should be explained by either the artist or the person at the front desk when they go through the aftercare with a customer and if you were not made aware of this then I can only apologise. If you would like us to arrange a touch up for you then please let me know and I can sort that out. Again, to confirm, there will be no charge for this. Update!! Terrible, my arm is scarred and they look just so bad! I have to pay a new tattooist to make right their mistakes!! Charged me a 100 for 8 bad hearts. Didn't see this till later! Never going there again!
