Hi Anabel, we know its you, using a fake name. Thank you for your feedback. As you know, there are two sides to every story. As a small business that relies heavily on shipments, we unfortunately do not have control over shipping couriers, typhoons, and COVID-19 delaying shipments. We offered to turn your alterations around in 24 hours to accommodate your event date. After your bullying and legal threats, we happily refunded you. When you came back in following your refund to "see" your suit, you tried to negotiate a price via more bullying and threats. We are a business that sells luxury goods, negotiation via bullying and threats is simply not a part of our process. After recruiting your mother to berate our staff (on facetime) for not appeasing you, and her amplifying the bullying and enhancing the threats, we are happy that you have taken your business elsewhere.

DO NOT under any circumstances go to the Tailory to get something made. Their customer service is abominable. They dont show up for appointments and then lie about where they were. And they lie about having your merchandise ready. This is the worst custom clothing company in Manhattan. There are a ton of other ones to choose from. Run, dont walk, to any other one.

I spent over $3000 to purchase a suit, 2 shirts, and pair of pants. Its been 9 weeks since I first ordered these items, and the order isnt even finished, not to mention its already two weeks past my event deadline. For contextIm trans nonbinary (they/them) and 411. Its very difficult for me to find clothes that are affirming of my gender and fitting for my size. When I got invited to a wedding the first weekend of June 2021, I finally had a reason to order custom garments. With 5 weeks of lead time, I reached out to the Tailory and made an in-person fitting appointment, where I made my selections for my suit and one shirt. The next day, I realized there were 3 wedding events to attend, so I ordered an additional shirt and pair of pants over Zoom. The Tailorys team assured me that if I placed the order that day (April 22nd), I would receive all the garments by my deadline, May 31st. All went south from here. A week before my deadline, I had been reaching out via text and email and couldn't get any specific updates. It was obvious that the suit and other garments were not going to be delivered on time and that they were intentionally keeping me in the dark. At that point, I sent the Tailory an email calling out their absolute lack of transparencyI just wanted to know where my garments were. They replied with a generic apology, offering to deliver the suit to me two days before the wedding. No one even signed the email with their name because I dont think they wanted to know who I was speaking to. At this point, I was skeptical at best because they clearly had already failed to deliver and wouldnt even be able to complete custom alterations in time. Two days passed and when they finally had my suit, they texted asking me if they could overnight ship it, or if I needed them to deliver it. I was only two hours away in the Catskills before this weddingthe fact that they didnt want to deliver the suit unless I explicitly asked also just felt like a lack of willingness to make up for the awful experience thusfar. I just wanted to get my garments and be done. Later that day, they arrived in the evening to deliver my items. When they arrived, they only brought my suit and a single shirt. When I asked Where are the other items I ordered? The additional shirt and pants? the intern who was sent out to me gave me a deer in the headlights look. She had no idea what I was talking about, and had to call her supervisor to inquire. After she had gotten off the phone with her supervisor, she gave me a vague answer that the garments MIGHT be done by the wedding (which was in two days). Had I known that they wouldnt be done, I just wouldnt have spent an additional $1200 on those items. In the end, the employees left me with just the suit and one shirt, and later that night, an unnamed person from the company texted me to let me know that the additional garments would not be ready in time. Today, June 21st, two months exactly after my initial order, I STILL do not have the pants and shirt. They completely wasted my time and energy. Ive sent the Tailory communications of my frustrations, requesting a partial refund for those items, asking for honesty, and just trying to get in touch with them. However, they have been silent for WEEKS now. They are an absolute horrible company to work with and I would never recommend them. I am honestly a pretty lenient personI was fine with the delivery being a bit late, I let go the fact that they werent going to custom tailor my items once they received it from their overseas outsourcer, and in the end, I just got cheated and lied to. Not sure how the Tailory can call themselves a legitimate company when they couldnt fulfill a basic order for a suit, two shirts, and pair of pants in five weeks. Work with this company at your own risk, and dont expect them to accommodate you at all if any mistakes happen. UPDATE: One day after I posted this review the owner, Shao reached out to me. She issued me a full refund for the pants + shirt that I did not receive.

I just got married this past weekend, when looking for a suit, I had in person fittings that had all been cancelled due to COVID-19 shut downs. I felt like getting a custom suit for my big day wasnt going to happen and as a woman, this was stressful because suits are often too large or ill-fitting because they are made for men. I found the Tailorys website & loved their inclusive approach & saw they did virtual fittings so it was going to be my best shot. My initial consultation was great, attentive, & all my questions were answered. Due to COVID production times were a little slower then expected & I started to stress things wouldnt be ready in time. My suit arrived needing adjustments 9 days til wedding day & I was assured everything would be fine. I had a virtual fitting the next day - I dropped my suit off & it was overnighted & sent back within the week. Ive never had a suit fit perfectly for me & the Tailory 10/10 exceeded my expectations. They have gained a customer for life & I would encourage anybody to give their virtual fittings a try - in the busy world we live in, its almost easier than going in person.
