James, your 2011 Volvo XC60 with 107,500 miles does need a rack and pinion (leaking fluid), an inner tie rod (loose), and rear pads and rotors (low brakes). As an authorized Volvo dealer and NYS repair shop, we are required to make these repairs. The Rack and Pinion is very expensive. We have no control over what actions another repair shop takes in regards to issuing a NYS Inspection. Please stop in and we'll show you the defects in your rack and pinion assembly. I wish I could leave O stars. Was told my car needed over $3K in repairs to pass inspection. I then took it to a recommended place from a friend and my car didn't need any of those repairs. I had to rent a car out of pocket for my job for a week because they told me my car failed inspection. Unbelievable to me, what a scam. Called their customer service line and had to leave a message because no one answered during business hours. Go somewhere else!!!!!

Tammy, sorry you feel this way. The front and rear Volvo wiper blades were $73 with no installation charges. The fuel line filter is located inside the gas tank and that is a six hour job - you declined that repair. We advised that using Flex Fuel (low octane rating) would be a cause of poor gas mileage. Spark plug replacement was not necessary. We advised you that your tires were at 4/32 and should be replaced, you declined that. Your 2015 Volvo with 130K miles was tested on a Volvo diagnostic machine in that this was your first service at a Volvo dealer. Your total bill before taxes was $322. We would be happy to discuss these repairs with your "regular mechanic". Thank you Stephen Byer

They didn't change my fuel line filter as asked, my car is losing gas mileage .so this option is possible, spark plugs is another, a vaccum line leaking a little. But rather then look into these they put me on a diagnostic machine which showed nothing. But I Did tell them no idiot lights were on.no warnings on my program board showed either. They did change my wiper blades thou for$80.00 + time . My total bill was close to $400. My regular mechanic is better then this volvo place. Rates are ridiculous there!!!!

This is all my experience with this company: Just so you know who youre buying a car from I went to an interview at this car dealership. The owner was 30 minutes late to the interview, and didnt have the decency to let me know whether or not I got the job when I followed up. This complete lack of professionalism and regard for others time is in my experience how you will be treated if you buy a car here. Forget the fact that in the 30 minutes I was sitting there waiting, I heard multiple salesmen and receptionists making fun of customers behind their back. So if you decide to buy a car from here and/or allow them to up sell, your time and effort will more than likely be completely disregarded, and you will probably be made fun of behind your back for being so easily manipulated and persuaded, plus whatever gossip they can come up with. I personally would never buy a car here. Disrespectful people dont get my time or money. Word from the wise, spend your money elsewhere.
