As the managing partner of the firm, I was very distressed to review your review. I met with the attorney and staff on your file to determine what happened in your claim. After reviewing your file, I did call you and was able to further discuss what happened in your claim. We talked for over forty-five minutes and had a very good conversation. I hope I was able to better educate you on the workers compensation law in Florida and how it works. Unfortunately, sometimes clients do not agree with assessments provided by their attorneys, or by their doctors. As a result, the firm made the determination that it would be better for you to seek counsel who might better align with your feelings. Just like every client has the right to change attorney, an attorney also has a right to withdraw from a file if they feel it is in their or their clients best interest. I also provided you with the name of another attorney who perhaps might better fit with what you are looking for, and you indicated you would contact him. I had a workers compensation case. Avoid this firm, Sosonkin, go elsewhere. I am filing a complaint against him as below. 1. The attorney, during mediation, revealed things I told him privately and said things I never accepted as it was so important to me. He even changed what I told him. When this happened I tried to find another attorney online through NOLO but he immediately called me and "are you trying to find another lawyer?" So I did not. During the mediation, he said things about my health as if he heard for the first time. He said he can't make more money than the insurance offered like $5000 dollars. He would take the 30-40%. I have been waiting for more than two years yet in each phone call after the mediation he repeats " you did not like what they offered like an insult. He blames me in every phone call as "you did not like the doctors." Those doctors exposed me to X-rays without lead protection and also threatened me. And also not even diagnosed my condition so I had to go to ER myself. He repeatedly talks about Florida law and I used all of the doctors and I did not like any doctors. So he rather acts a scheduling partner for the insurance company rather than defending your case. During mediation, he did not even say one word insinuating that he supports my case other than repeating the insurer attorney's points. I had to go to the hospital myself to learn what is going on with me and they found out that I had tumours but my attorney did not even acknowledge that happened after the accident. Each phone calls he asked me to find doctors that are going to support these lesions that happened because of the accident despite the I continually told him that I don't have any money to afford doctors. Yet Until yesterday, he kept repeating the same thing that I did not find any doctors. Rather than saying what he is planning to do for my case for two years. I have not heard one thing ever. So he is not trustworthy! Just a month before my hearing he dropped my case. He did NOTHING rather than obeying what the insurance attorneys told him, and not even one time, he challenged them. And forget if you expect being informed. So many times I have waited for weeks for a single phone call and when finally I was able to talk, despite not heard from him for months about my case, he starts like how can I help you today. Like give an update, I am suffering here and say something that I know you do the work, I have been asking your staff and had been waiting response. Do not you speak with your secretaries? Do not they inform you about my questions. You are given a job and I am a client that you are supposed to inform. I will file complaints against him as I started yesterday by calling Florida Bar Association. Be aware and if you feel he somehow did not represent you make an official complaint as we do not know what is going on behind doors.
