Damon, thank you for your review. We always appreciate feedback; However, you were not overcharged. You had booked 2 cabins for both nights, not just Lewis & Clark. Lewis & Clark was $244 per night plus taxes, so the 2 night stay was $538. Lewis & Clark is our largest premium cabin too, so for summer peak weekend rates, you were charged correctly. You also booked Cabin 16, which was $179 per night for the two nights. That was charged to your card as well. Essentially, the charges were legitimate and accurate. We did not charge you for the beer glasses members of your party took from the main lodge, nor did we charge additional cleaning fees that we could have charged given the condition Lewis & Clark cabin was found after your departure. Just stayed here in August, cabin was great and most of the staff were nice and helpful. But after I received my credit card statement they had charged numerous charges for a 2 night stay. Ended up costing me $735.54 for the Lewis and clark cabin. When I contacted them, Dustin(front desk) told him I had 2 charges on my cc he informed there was nothing he could do and Id have to dispute it with my credit card company. Very disappointing that they would just let the charges stay when it was charged incorrectly on there end.
Sorry to hear of your experience; However, it has nothing to do with the ownership change. Same exact Bison burgers and same cooks. Price for Bison burger went up an entire nickel, sorry if that increase was too much. The bar was closed by the old owners March of 2020 and like most restaurants across the USA, we need more staff before we can open the tavern comfortably for guests. There is a pay phone at the Country store for our guests, $1 for 5 minutes anywhere in the USA & Canada.

I want the old owners back. I have been going to the lodge since I was a kid and my experience over the was very disapointing. Food prices have gone up significantly and the food was terrible. I had the bison burger which was extremely greesy, was thin, and had no flavor. Worst burger I have had and not worth it for for $16 dollars. We used to always eat breakfast at the lodge but after that experience I will not eat in the lodge again. They even got rid of the guest phone and the bar was closed.
My mom wanted to go on vacation. I asked her where? I told her I would take her anywhere she wanted to go. She chose Lochsa Lodge. I've been there and rented cabins several times. I have never had anything close to a bad experience. In fact, I feel like I'm at peace when I stay there. Unfortunately, my mom had to have emergency surgery. Dustin was so accommodating. He made me feel better within minutes. Whomever he is, I can't wait to meet him when my mom is all healed up. I don't give 5 stars because it's not good enough. I give 100 stars because it's that great! Especially Dustin. He's a good human.
In the middle of a 10 hour long day of motorcycle riding, we decided to stop at Lochsa Lodge to get some lunch. Thinking it would be a nice place to grab a bite and get back on our long day. We received our drinks pretty quickly but then were delayed about 25 minutes to get our order taken. We were fine with that because they seemed to be understaffed with servers. After getting our order taken we then proceeded to wait another hour and a half before we received our appetizer, which was infuriating because the other half of our party (seated at another table) received their entrees at the same time. After eating our appetizer we had to wait another 45 minutes to receive our meals. Which we then had to scarf down in order to get back on the road. Our 10 hour day turned into a 12 hour day and we werent able to finish our ride that we had planned. Long story short, if you have all day to waste just waiting for mediocre food then go ahead and eat here, but if you have anywhere to be it would do you better to go hunt for your own food. We were really excited to try it but were severely let down.
