Thank you for taking the time to leave a review John. I have looked into your order investigate the quality of the goods, to see why you felt the boots were not fit for purpose. It appears that the issue was more to do with the size ordered, rather than them not being fit for purpose, or faulty. As you can imagine, many different styles and brands of shoes will all fit slightly differently, and sometimes you may have to try more than one size or brand to find the perfect fit. I have also checked the no quibble refund you were given, and can see that you were indeed refunded the full price of the product, only the original shipping was not refunded, which is per our terms and conditions of sale and return of goods. We are more than happy for people to order more than one item of something, in order to try them on to check the sizes and the fit of garments - however the customer is liable for the cost of returning the goods, as we do not currently offer free returns. Item supplied was not fit for purpose. Nonetheless, I was left out of pocket after returning the defective item. The suggestion below that I ordered the wrong size is unfair. I'm size 10 and never have I been unable to get into a size 10 shoe or boot. But with these, getting them on was utterly impossible, and that was with thin socks. Unfortunate for the retailer maybe, but it is their responsibility if they sell something which does not match the description.

The bib and brace looks fine. The proof will be when I wear it on the footplate of a steam locomotive. Price is comparable with other retailers. The one surprise was paying vat on the delivery. This may be commonplace and may be hidden in the delivery charge but don't let that put you off.

I requested help in retuning the item I purchased indicating the shipping rate I could get was too high. I clearly indicated I would reimburse your company for any return shipping cost if it was equal to the original cost I paid for my purchase. Emma replied your policy statement, and apparently never read my complete statement. I might feel less disappointed if she had at least recognized my full request. You have some unique products that might appeal to USA customers, but your current shipping / returns policy will prevent any potential growth.
