If there is something effecting your child, please call someone in the medical community. The reason we advised you to do that is because you had already treated your home with a chemical and we were concerned it may have effected your baby. I am sorry that you took that as rude and unprofessional. I have kids too and understand the urgency and the worry that comes with trying to find out what is wrong.

Contacted Addison Pest after a recommendation from a friend and spoke with the owner Mike about bites that we had found on our 10 month old son we took him to his pediatrician and a dermatologist which both thought ants but we found no sign of ants. We we did find what looked like very small mites on his changing table in the nursery. Mike acted extremely rude and said that they were probably chiggers and we just needed to wait it out. I told him that some were found in the nursery on furniture (not outside where chiggers would be) and that I had some samples that I had killed with a permethrin spray (natural plant based spray and a small sample room was not treated) and asked if they could send someone out to treat our house. Mike became very rude, said that he couldn't help us and that it was chiggers. We contacted another company...they had someone out that day and they discovered a rat nest in the attic right above the nursery as soon as they identified the problem as rat mites. Great job Mike! If you want to keep your family and household safe do not waste time with Mike and Addison Pest...rude, unprofessional and wrong! Thanks for your response Corey...we did take him to his pediatrician as well as a dermatologist. Mike's advise was to wait it out not to see a doctor. Also for clarification the permethrin was used on a small sample so I could have samples of what we found, the nursery was not treated. Best of luck to y'all...my opinion is honest and Mike said to feel free to let him know if he was wrong before he hung up on me during our initial call.

Thank you for the review. Unfortunately, this situation was too risky for us to perform the service like the client was asking us to do it. We do not allow our technicians to climb that high on ladders for their own safety (we want them to get home safe to their families). We did offer a solution, based on the particular situation, which we know would be effective and safe for everyone involved. If our recommendation did not work, we would give you your money back; we have a 100% money back guarantee in the event our treatment does not work or our client is not totally satisfied. Our goal is to provide a Safe, Effective, Courteous Service at a Fair Price!

I cannot comment on their ability fully to treat pests as I sent them on their way after arriving at my home and a brief discussion. The technician would not go into the attic. He opened the attic stairs, a wasp flew out, and he expressed concerns of getting stung. . .I had specifically requested treatment of the attic for wasps when I called to make the appointment. I did not c all and ask for bug treatments of the house. I called to get rid of wasps. He explained about dusting the attic, but he would not go up there. Secondly, my house is 2 stories, and I explained this on the phone when making the appointment asking if they had ladders to reach areas not accessible from the ground (regardless of how powerful of a sprayer). Specifically, I have dormers that one cannot possibly spray the soffits over the cheek walls or the roof line flashing, etc, or the far side of the chimney and other areas that would not have been able to be sprayed from the ground. About 30 minutes after the technician left, the owner Cory called. He was very polite and seemed to empathize, but then said best for me to go with another company. Apparently a 2 story 2800 sq/ft house with wasps is too much for them. I completely understood about needing to have 2 people on site to go over 8 ft on a ladder, but I mentioned all of this before the company came out. He even said he would not have an issue going on a ladder as he is the owner and it would be on him if he fell. It was that point I asked where we were going with this. It sounds like from Cory that I should have had a sales person come out and spec the job. He agreed about the dusting, but apparently he was no longer interested in my business. Cory started very empathetic but then turned very patronizing at the end of the discussion. I dont know the first thing about treating for wasps. I mentioned that I had gone around the house and knocked down nests, but his reply turned into that I treat my own home apparently. I also got to hear treating for other pests as they are food source. I get that, but in a sense kind of a BS line as unless he is treating the rest of the neighborhood, treating my yard is not going to make a huge dent. BTW, I was fine with paying more than $200 for them to come out and return 30 days later for a treatment as Sharon explained. Cost and what they said they would do initially was never an issue, and I even asked about quarterly thereafter. I honestly dont ever remember wanting to hire a company. . .wanting to give someone my money (no money was exchanged). . .and still have to ask them to leave in the end. I really wanted to like this company and Sharon was very pleasant on the phone. Unfortunately, I wasnt getting what I was sold. Ill be going with a different company, and hoping for a better experience. Im giving this company 3 Stars. I want people to see this review, but I dont want it viewed as some sort of slam of the company. They may do very excellent work (there are a lot of good reviews here and why I tried to hire them). They just didnt work out for me.

You are correct, we do warranty our work. It is critical that you continue baiting around your home to prevent mice and rats. We had you set up on a baiting service, but you cancelled the service.

They do not honor their work. In less than 4 months, we are right back to the same rodent issue we had when we hired Addison Pest. I no longer recommend this business!! We hired Addison Pest Control in Sept 2016 to bring a solution to rats in our attics. They sold us on their plan for $800 of placing 8 bait boxes around the home, traps in the attic and sealing up the house to ensure no entry ways into the home. Warranty was a big selling point for me as I was told that there was a warranty on their work as long as bait boxes stayed baited. In mid-Nov, the technician showed up at our home. After about 6 minutes, he said he checked the traps in the attic and no movement and he check bait boxes and all were untouched. Then he handed me a bill for $90. I disputed this bill as we did not agree to quarterly services and advised that we would use our pest control guy for that. In December, we have found several rats around our home and in the garage dead. My husband and pest control guy are keeping the bait boxes baited and checking attic. As of this week, my husband checked the attic and there were 4 dead rats and 3 dead mice. I called Addison Pest to have them come back and reseal the house as clearly this was not done correctly the first time. The bait boxes are working as the rodents are dead. Corey refused to honor his warranty since I didn't pay the $90 in Nov, even though his guy was just here and checked the premise. The warranty is valid only if we agree to their quarterly service. I do not have any documentation on warranty (mistake on my part), thus only going by what I was told. Even though I was wrong in my understanding, Addision Pest should have made some sort of effort to keep a customer simply for the fact that we were a new customer, we did everything they told us to do and their technician had just seen the premise less than two months ago. So, in less than 4 months.....we are right back to the same problem we were in Sept. I no longer recommend this business.
