I recently had a terrible experience at next Oxford road store where the head of security assumed I was a shoplifter! She approached me with hostility and anger asking if it was me in the photo (showing me a photo of a shoplifter) and when I said no, the employee continued interrogating me and disrespecting me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed by the way I was being treated. Not only did the employee never have any proof or evidence that I was stealing, but their assumption was completely unfounded. When I asked for the store manager, the store manager hesitatingly agreed that the person in the photo looked like me knowing there is no proof of such accusations. I am extremely disappointed in the way this situation was handled and how I was treated.e It is unacceptable to make false accusations and assumptions about customers, specially from head of security, who clearly failed her duties in identifying a shoplifter from a presumed photo. This reflects poorly on the store and company as a whole. I will not be returning to this store and will be sharing my experience with others to raise awareness of the unacceptable behaviour I encountered.
