I am torn because I had a good experience with the eye doctor. I gave only 2 stars for the following reasons: -I was very disappointed in the office. The office is small and crowded. I felt unsafe because there was no form of social distancing, no open windows, no open doors. I saw ~11 customers and 7 staff members moving around the store but there was no effort to clean seats, counter tops or other frequently touched areas. This seems very unsafe given the covid 19 pandemic. - The Optician was very pushy and quite rude. I told her I wanted to have the lenses covered by my insurance. She stressed that my lens would be very thick so I should opt for a thinner version. I stated that I am on a budget but I am open to seeing my options. She proceeded to keep telling me to get the upgrades for $385 for ONLY the lenses. This is a crazy price considering I can get thinner lenses with the blue light and anti glare for more reasonable prices elsewhere. Also, I ended up asking another employee at the store (I think his name is Joe) and he told me the lenses covered by my insurance would be fine (in regard to the thickness). So, this showed that paying $385 was not necessary. I felt very uncomfortable by how pushy the previous optician was. -optician tried to charge me $39 for a scan that I did not ask for. Prior to seeing the doctor, I reviewed my documents and insurance plan with the front desk to ensure there would be no copay or deductible for my visit. I explained this to the optician but she was very dismissive and indifferent. -I had an appointment but had to wait 40-45 mins to see the doctor. Given the pandemic, most offices are very strict with appointments to limit the # of people in the store. Unfortunately, Eye & I did not seem to care to respect the appointment times and limit the # of people inside. Overall, you should consider avoiding this eye glass store. I did have a positive experience with the doctor but I have had other great experiences with other doctors too. Even though she is great, coming here is not worth the 1 hour and 20 min that I spent waiting and dealing with the above situations. Thank you for reading.
We apologize for the short noticed of your exam copayments. Certain eye conditions do not cause any visual problems until the disease has worsened and it's too late, reason why retinal photo is important to be part of the comprehensive exam. If there is ever something concerning, our doctors can easily refer you right away to a specialist.

I went here when they first opened back in 2019 and everything was great. Unfortunately I tried to come back this week for a routine eye exam just to check if my vision is still okay. However, they informed me the day before my scheduled appointment that their doctor requires all eye exams to include retinal imaging even before the normal exam. Sounds to me like they just want to claim more insurance money. I've never had vision issues why would a retinal imaging be required even before seeing me. They then asked me to cancel the appointment. Will definitely not go back, as I feel like I'm being scammed.
We apologize if we didn't satisfy your expectations, but we also did our best to find your insurance and even spent 3 hours with VSP to figure it out. Since the issue was under your wife's employer and they were just able to fix it today. We sincerely apologize, but it was totally out of our hand.
