I had to take Nigel Burns to fee arbitration to get a ruling regarding money that he stole. It was then and only then (because he risked losing his license) that he wrote me a refund check for $1920.00. Do not give him a retainer because he will likely pad his hours and invent reasons to burn through it. That was the case with me at least. There are great lawyers out there that are happy to put in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. Nigel Burns is not one of them.

They charged me nearly $40,000 and seemed to overcharge me because they knew I was desperate, facing the prospect of losing custody of my son.
