Hi Mike, thank you for your honest feedback, we are learning from this experience. We built this service with the use case of form testing for designers as our priority. In this case, surface finish has been most important to our customers. As there are a growing number of engineers using our service with use cases of functional prototyping, we have found a need to factor in tighter tolerances according to spec. Rest assured, we are in the process of reassessing our workflow, analyzing how we could achieve this while still maintaining fast output. Thanks for sticking with us for so long, and hope to see you again in the future.

Sloppy SLA prints. Would not recommend this company if you require millimeter-scale details and tight tolerances...which is the whole point of SLA. We have an SLA printer in-house and sometimes contract prints out to Makelab when we need small objects printed with a special resin (rigid or flex). The last 3 orders from Makelab were out of spec. Their 'good' prints are +0.25mm off spec (even when printed at 0.05mm layer). We should have just bought the resin and done it ourselves in the first place. Makelab's quality seems to be going downhill after their production manager left the company in summer 2020. We had much better experiences in early 2020. It's no longer worth the hassle dealing with them.
I was a returning customer and they couldnt meet my expectations at ALL. I sent numerous references and actual 3d files to work with and got back lazy designs. I even gave technical drawings for changes that still were not done. The quality of work has gone way down since the last project manager left the company. I went to discuss this in person at their office and they were dismissive trying not to handle the situation or give me a refund for work not completed. No one identified themselves and gave me a run around. I was very respectful. As I was still in the building, two employees were speaking about me and got quiet as soon as they realized I was still present. It sucks that I thought I found a reputable company and wanted to give customer loyalty but thats impossible after this. If you require high detail 3d modeling do not consider them.
Makelab is AWESOME. I am a complete novice and needed some help on a 3D print job. I am also the worst -- I know nothing about the process or materials, needed a job done quickly, and needed a ton of advice. Makelab (and specifically Alyssa) responded to my inquiry immediately, provided a ton of counsel for what kind of materials and size to print, and the job was done in a snap. I feel like usually you get the attention of a small business OR world-class service and output, but never both -- with Makelab, they provide both.
Oof! Sorry about that! Could you kindly email us? We would like to resolve this issue and make up for any inconveniences we have caused. During COVID-19, 75% of our staff is working from home. This may explain how your order slipped through the cracks. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Had some items printed and they were terrible. Only shipped half the order that I paid for, and the parts they did ship were the worst looking 3D prints I have ever seen. Im not sure how this company gets any business.
