NOTE: My review is just going to be focused on my interactions with the sales, technicians and doctor that I had the opportunity to talk to. Im prospecting a LASIK/ICL surgery for my severe myopia. DOCTOR: very good So far, the contact with the Dr has been extremely polite and gentle.ç SALES SIDE:poor/fair The sales side of thing is what I don't think I appreciate much. Having chatted to 2 of them it is clear that their goal is to make money and get their commission. Fair enough... But when you are dealing with something precious like your eyes I think I would expect something else... Hi Carolyn, the tests showed that you are NOT a candidate for LASIK. The procedure recommended for you was ICL (Implantable Contact Lens). I specialize in LASIK (and PRK). I got a consult but didn't end up getting Lasik here because a) the price quoted was *double* what I was getting from other places (Kaiser, UC Berkeley etc.) - $10k vs $5k - and b) Dr. Faktorovich would not even be doing the surgery herself. I guess I understand the upcharge for a great doctor (this is America after all), but when the great doctor with all the qualifications and awards isn't even doing the surgery? Not sure what I'm overpaying for in that case, and no explanation was given by the sales team ("patient coordinators" but really they are salespeople and very much not doctors). Office was very nice and staff was friendly, if $5k didn't make a difference to my bank account I would probably come here.

This has been one of the best decisions in my life, I can see clearly without glasses. Dr. Faktorovich, Dr. Quan and the team were very welcoming, professional, and knowledgable. They got the job done, although this is not one of those places where I can say I will go back to since I won't need to, but I would completely recommend them. To those that are still thinking about it, do you remember when was the last time you woke up and was able to see clearly? Just do it, and you will love it.

Dr. Ella Faktorovich is an incredibly accomplished ophthalmologist in the Bay Area. Dr. Faktorovich performed PRK on my fiancé and years later (summer 2019) did my lasik surgery. Despite how knowledgeable she is, Ella is humble, warm and welcoming. She explains the procedure to you in very simple terms and makes you feel comfortable so that you know you are in good hands. After all, she is playing with your eyes! Dr. Ella Faktorovich leads an equally efficient and proficient team that handles everything from payment/appointments to doing the pre and post op. They value your business and your time. Most importantly, they realize this is life changing. (I am now seeing 20/15; after my last check up apparently 20/10!) Dr. Ella also does a lot of education around the Bay Area for those in optometry. She and I bonded over our love of dogs; she showed me a picture of her dog name Sam!
