Not worth the drive from anywhere. The service at the allentown woodcraft is so bad, you hardly get a hello when you walk in. It used to be fun to browse but I think ill stick to online for specialty woodworking equipment.

I recently purchased a General protractor at Woodcraft. I'm usually on guard when I shop in specialty stores rather than at larger retailers, expecting to pay a bit more for the convenience, wider selection, and sometimes better quality. The protractor is a simple item though, no magic, no exclusivity, no snob appeal, no exceptional quality. I was a bit shocked when I got to the cashier - the protractor was over $20. I went ahead with the purchase, despite my shock at the cost, thinking well, it's probably a little more here. Later in the day, I was at Lowes and out of curiosity I checked to see if they had the same item. They did, and it was $10. Was this a mistake on Woodcraft's part, or do they think their price is fair? I don't intend to stop shopping there, but my advice is to know what things should cost before you go there. You could very well pay a lot more...
