The concept is great and youre able to recycle a lot of different types of items, especially styrofoam which I cant recycle anywhere else around here. However, the scheduling requirement is absolute nonsense. When we arrived, we were told we could not drop off our items without an appointment, even though there was NOBODY else at the center. Our items are presorted by plastic number and some styrofoam, so it would have taken about 3 min to drive around the different stations to drop them off. It seems like the staff doesnt really care about items being recycled and dont mind people throwing stuff in the trash rather than make an effort to recycle. We had accumulated recycling over the last few months and combined driving trips to save time and fuel since this is 30 min from where we live. That didnt matter one bit. The staff has been pretty rude on a couple of occasions and once charged our credit card $20 instead of $2 for dropped off paint. It goes to a good cause, but still The concept is great. Execution, not so much. I guess styrofoam and plastics 3-5 are now going in my trash at home. At least a recycling center close to me takes metal and glass, they are much nicer and actually help visitors, are open 6 days a week, and dont require any scheduling (because people are there 3-5 min tops unloading their cars. There is no need to schedule when visitors wait 2 min at most).

I made an appointment at 11am on a Saturday to recycle some unused chemicals from an at home Chemistry lab kit. According to their website they accept up to 25 lbs of chemicals for free, and I have nowhere near that amount. After making the long drive down, I was informed that they do not accept Chemistry kits for recycling. Thats fine, but I double checked and that caveat is never mentioned on their website. Now Ive completely wasted a Saturday morning and I still have a Chemistry kit that needs to be recycled.

My husband made an appointment for today at 11:15 am. He received multiple emails and texts confirming and reminding him of the appointment. We showed up today at the appointment time to find a sign on the closed doors saying they were closed due to flooding. Nobody thought of texting or emailing to the well proven email and cell phone? Wait! At 11:57 we received an email. Just NOT in time to avoid our 30 minute trip in the rain, in Atlanta traffic!!! In penance, you should offer to come get our things at out home. That would be the only thing that would help me forgive you. I should give you a ZERO star
