We are so very sorry for your experience. We had a very rough night and we apologize. It was the first warm evening all Spring and there was an explosion of newly vaccinated patrons excited to eat out for the first time. It was literally the busiest night we have EVER had since we opened. We took a beating and are so regretful that your experience was effected. If you have kept up with the news you may have heard that restaurants in particular are having a VERY difficult time rebuilding their workforce since the pandemic. Business is simply returning faster than the workers. We are aware of the issues, working hard to find more staff and we have made adjustments to our workflow. For the record however, our iced tea is only $6 and is freshly brewed per person in its own custom pot. Never the less we COMPLETELY understand your frustration and deeply regret that things went wrong. We hope you enjoyed the food that we wrapped for you to goand on your next visit your dinner will be on the house. Meanwhile we wish you all the best with the pending arrival of your new baby! Best wishes for safe and healthy delivery and hopefully some good sleep for all of you.

Waiter forgot to order our food. Waited 45 mins before he even realized it. Never even checked on us once between appetizer and entree. When the waiter found out he messed up, he hid in the back and didnt even come out and apologize or give us an update on when the food would be coming out. He made us wait ANOTHER 10 mins. Then when he finally did come out, he said itd be another 10 mins. Mind you Im 7 months pregnant and HUNGRY. They didnt even offer me bread while I was waiting. Tortuous. We decided to pay check and leave. The waiter had audacity to still charge us but we paid for apps. They might have fully refunded us since as we were leaving busboy ran out and gave us our entrees to go. For a place that charges $15 for iced tea, you can do better.
I only gave two stars because the menu was creative. Ive been twice and had an awesome experience the first time. The second time was much different. The first time (beginning of Dec I think) we had a waiter (bald guy with a beard...I think his name was Sal) who helped us figure out which wines to open when based on asking about what we were thinking of eating. This is what I expect from a BYO that wants to be high end service. We enjoyed everything and I asked his name again. This last time we were there, we got someone else. She was not of the same caliber as Sal....BY FAR. She was insistent about taking the order quickly....sometimes reapproaching the table 40 seconds after being told we needed more time. This is not how you do fine dining. The restaurant was full, granted, but how many more seatings could come in between 8:30 and their closing time. Whatever. The management staff looked completely unhinged. The person I assumed was the manager (red hair) looked a bit unhinged as she was seemingly frustrated with her staff. Another female was bullishly giving orders to people that were already running around in between trips to the bar to take a mouthful of wine. Food came out okay....half the table got served and a few mins later the other half came out. 1st course was all lukewarm. Kinda amateur if you ask me. Only reason its not one star is the lamb came out at right temp. Food can be great, but on a weekend night, this place falls apart. Might try again. Prob not. -Frankie
I dined in twice. Once before covid and once outdoors, during covid. Both times the service and food were incredible. I did prefer a la carte menu that was available prior to covid - although we still ordered two from each course, but I rather have the autonomy. Either way, the quality did not suffer during the pandemic and I appreciate the effort to keep the ambiance and food consistent. Everything I ate here, from apps to dessert, was so good that I cant list each thing individually. The lobster crepe did stand out as my favorite, however.
Rain is the WORST. It's our enemy in situations like this. We feel just terrible that your outdoor reservation was rained out and we deeply apologize if you felt neglected by our staff member. She was honestly running around the dining room trying to re-do the evening's seating chart to try and find a table to accommodate you. It's awkward for us when a guest sees empty tables and we have to tell them they are already reserved for someone else, but we hope you understand that if you had made an indoor reservation we would have afforded you the same courtesy and not given your table away to someone else. It's unfortunate that we don't have more indoor seating, but we are making every effort to maintain distance between tables due to the pandemic, as such our indoor seating is still reduced. Sadly, your reservation was for outside and Mother Nature had other plans. We make every effort to move "outdoor" reservations indoors if the weather turns and we DID offer you a lovely seat at our bar. We understand not everyone likes to sit at the bar, which is why we also offered to comp your entire three course meal. We really did do our best and we deeply regret that New Jersey's climate did not cooperate.

I really wanted to like this place. I waited almost two weeks to eat here. On some days they were fully booked or under staffed which was fine. However today I was finally able to visit. I decided to sit outside. I was the only one sitting outside. Everything was going wonderful until I felt a few rain drops and request to be seated inside for the rest of my meal. The young woman who was asked to find me a seat acted as if I was invisible and I was left standing by the bar with my second course sitting on the bar getting cold. She walked pass me at least twice and was focused on everything besides me. I felt as if I was begging her to pay attention to me and find me a seat. Mind you I'm the only one standing. Awkward I completely and immediately lost my appetite and became sad. Someone came out and tried to smooth things over however the damage was already done. I felt humiliated and just wanted to go. So I left.
