Well for beginners I had stayed at a shelter in the greater Boston area for three and a half years because of a transition in my own personal life per se. However I had to navigate myself to a place that was safe kind and considerate as well as a decent breakfast in the morning which made my day with the amount of respect I received at the Haley house. Then I was invited to become a lived in community member and it was a life-changing experience in the greatest of all ways. Becoming responsible and more organized as an individual with a well thought out concept of giving to the unfortunate population in the Boston area. I will say that it is one of the best things that happened to me through my journey of life by being able to give back and be around a positive people who truly cared about me.Truthfully speaking when I reflect all my purpose and all of our purpose loving experience was the ultimate statement when I was invited into the living community of the Haley House.

Volunteered for the mens breakfast, all but one female staff member and two other volunteers asked me personal questions as if they did not understand what personal boundaries were. The offenses taken by them is unreasonable and not worth the headache. They will try to make an example out of you will live or die by the impression they form of you especially if your doing community service hours, not for jail not for a shelter they try to hard to meddle and pry..This site is better suited for men than it is for women because of conduct I was subject to from two patrons and two males that held post there. The volunteers are invited to sit with guess as they eat in communal style. Personal boundaries are not respected enough in this environment for that. Maya was very professional Cavell went out of her way to be hostile, its like when you come there a few act as if you are subject to unnecessary unprofessionalism.

Sucked. Coffee ok, but food nothing, had to go-to star market -n- shoplift to eat. Nimby ruined this place. Rich south end location bad for homeless.
