So Ive tried their cakes before yes tasty. Spoke to and emailed an Elizabeth ( I believe the owner) about a cake I wanted for my daughter. She email the next day, cool. I decided I wanted to go in person to ask a couple more questions and put down a deposit on the cake because I dont like emailing back and forth. Id rather talk in person because for me personally I feel like its better communication and understanding. I was so excited that i drove today to lake forest from Anaheim which isnt 5 mins away. I get to the bakery was greeted by a nice lady at the counter and I asked for Elizabeth. I told her I had been in communication with her about a cake just had a few questions before putting a deposit. So she walks to the back to talk to Elizabeth. Comes back to tell me shes busy trying to finish a cake that she really needs to finish (Which is understandable). So I thought ok someone else will help me, continues to tell me to email her with any other questions I had. In my mind Im like really came all this way for that. So is Liz the only cake decorator? I was hoping and willing to get help from someone else or came back within the hour or 2 if given a estimate of when she be done but nope. Left very disappointed and upset. Thank you anyway, took my business elsewhere.

First, the communication for the order was excellent. The replies were thorough and prompt. I was under the impression that everything would work out. They do allow you to pay upon pickup. The skill on the cake was amazing! A tip would be for the dollar sign to be cut out as one piece and not stacked as they were. It was sloppy, as shown in the photo. I sent the birthday guy to pick it up and cried when he arrived because the cake was just wrong. Now, my gripe is that one cake was decided upon, yet the product did not reflect the same. The "jumbo" cupcake for the candle was actually a regular sized cupcake. Do not be fooled. Anyway, we decided upon the colors of red, gold and white, with a hint of black for the lion piece. Well, the money bag was not dry (think Play-Doh) so it had cracked and fallen over before it arrived home, which is 12 mins from the bakery, smooth drive. The chain was to be laid across the money stacks, not lying on the cake board. The money bands were to have been yellow and white with the "$1,000" on them, but this was omitted and they were dark purple. Again, we NEVER discussed the addition of purple. The cake board also had purple and quite a bit of black, something not discussed or agreed upon. When I called and spoke with the owner about this, she called me a liar, telling me they had not added purple. I requested a refund for obvious reasons, especially because the cake was not as I ordered and it did not match the decor. The owner said she would not be able to replace the cake as the birthday was the same day. I then asked for a refund. The owner told me she would only refund the cake board. I then told her it would be pointless to just refund the cake board when there was no way to save the cake for the birthday. The owner then stated she would issue "a refund, but [I had] to bring the cake back." Wow. So, I did just that. I personally returned the cake and she was already at the register counting out the refund of over $200. We were left without any cake, all due to the bakery's error. Because of this and the way we were treated, screw this bakery. Find another one that will actually produce the expected product and treat you with respect. They messed up and really said to return the cake for a refund. I wonder if they ate it or tossed it out, since it was custom. Why would you ask for a cake back during a pandemic, anyway? It was done to mess up the birthday, for sure. Always remember, "one monkey don't stop no show!"

My fiancée had found this little gem in the corner of the plaza when we had to take our little old cat into the vet at the near by pet hospital. We walked in one day and wanted to try some of their delectables. The pieces we gravitated towards were the toasted lemon meringue tart and a few of their No cake left behind pastries. What a creative way to use the extras of cakes! It ended up working out really well because we have been in the market for our wedding cake and sweets. What we were really excited for was all of the offerings that had in store and their versatility with their other pastries. The person we spoke to at the bakery was very enthusiastic and professional and told us to reach out with a month and half to two month lead time before our wedding date. Now to the reason for the two star rating. We genuinely wanted to work with the bakery because of the initial customer service and the products they were offering. Dropping by for small treats here and there might be safer, but I'd be wary of trying to set up for larger events. The flavor was their redeeming point and saved them from falling down to a one star. However after a month (since February) of attempting to reach out to the company via email 3 times and then a final phone call last week, we finally got a response. Elizabeth, the owner, had apologized in kind for ghosting us and said our messages had been accidentally filed into their completed portfolio. She had promised to reach out to us later that night and sadly didn't. We emailed them one last time after they didn't reach out to us to follow up and again was left unanswered. We were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for not getting back to us the previous times. But with this last chance for redemption and to drop the ball on just the basics of following up with your clients (ESPECIALLY for high stress events such as our wedding), we're gonna have to ghost you and go on to the next. Hope y'all work it for the next time
