Thanks for the review Dinos. While I can not locate you in our system I do want to empathize with you on hiring proffesional services and having to pay for unexpected expenses. While we do have a minimum 1/2hr diagnostics fee, not estimate fee, this is presented prior to the reviewing of any work, it is not the price you stated, but rather $69. You yourself stated your wife knew prior to being presented a price. We do present prices to do work prior to actually doing any work. This is our upfront pricing policy, this keeps everything transparent. You yourself said your service experience was good. The only compliant I can see is cost. While we wish we could offer the cheapest prices in town, we unfortunately wouldn't be around very long if that were the case. The photo of the quotes are for a completely new installation of electric water heaters, which are non existent in your home. These installs require the tank and piping, as well as a new circuit breaker, wiring and both plumbing and electrical permits. This task would require two trades to complete this work hence the pricing for not just a water heater. We can respect your stance but only ask you state all the facts and not only the ones that favor your view when posting a review like this. We wish you the best of luck in your future projects. Edit** 6-20-2022 Hi Dinos, we appreciate you bumping a 3 star review posted 2 years ago. Allthe facts we stated we reviewed from the work order and we never taken out of context. Yes there was a $69 fee to come to the home. Yes we also charge a diagnostic fee the 110 to review all the problems and present a multiple option solution. If the work is done, the diagnostic fee is waived. I'm not sure where the clarity for all. Of this wasn't see by you. Obviously 2 years later we are still having a discrepancy. Feel free to contact me Directly should you feel the need [email protected]

These guys came to give us an estimate for installing a water heater and I figured while they were there, they could fix 2 leaky valves. When they gave their prices for replacing the valves (1 outside faucet = $450, 1 gate valve = $350) I was appalled at the prices and said I'd find someone else but then they said they'd told my wife there was a $110 "estimate fee" I'd be on the hook for, only waived if I did the work right away. So I did the work but felt trapped - awful. Last time I'd replaced valves it cost around $250 - within the 1st hour "visit minimum" for a plumber charging for time & materials... These guys did a good job, were in and out in 45 minutes flat but they are EXPENSIVE. If you're super-busy and want responsive ppl, they could be for you but for most of us the cost will knock you off your feet. Ps. their estimate for installing water heater attached also, their comment that I "did not present all the facts" is incorrect- I stated they'd told my wife there'd be an estimate fee, I was not suggesting they made this up on the spot. Also, their comment this fee was $69 is incorrect, it was $110.
Hi Sacha, we appreciate your review. While we understand unexpected jobs are never fun to deal with we try and mitigate any aggravation you may experience. To be clear your project was VERY extensive. We replaced your main water service from the street to your home, after the pipe had deteriorated and was leaking under ground. This then provided minimal water pressure to your home at best. We dug and exposed well over 200 feet of piping with a trench 4+ feet down to allow the new water service to rest below the frost level. This project required a substantial excavation on your property. In regards to the "spam" calls, these were calls from our permit scheduler inquiring on a day to allow the inspector to survey the job done on your property. We do not participate in autodialing of any kind. Witht the stone, it's is very difficult to match new stone to pre existing crushed stone. Being as an asthetic landscape design scope was left from the project scope, the best matched stone to your pre existing stone was chosen. We. apologize we were unable to get an exact match on your existing aged and weathered stone. As stated above your water service had deteriorated to a state of disrepair and required replacement. Unfortunately in the excavating of over 200 feet of earth to ensure your residence obtained a water source, the stone patio did inflict some disturbance, while we tried our best to avoid too much upheaval, ultimately the scope of work was to once again provide clean water to your home. The price point of this project was exactly what was explained and agreed upon prior to the commencement of work. I'm unclear why this is a point of contention. To the extensiveness of the project and the passing of asthic landscaping post project it is also unclear as to why you made mention of loom, sorting of rocks, or crushed stone match. We are More than happy to discuss any issues with the patio, but it was known the main Water source to your home ran under this patio. While I'm sorry you feel our efforts and this project are only worth 1 star, I would ask you reconsider the efforts put forth by our plumbers and excavation experts to once again supply clean serviceable water to your home. Also, I am more than happy to continue this conversation should the need arise. Chris Murphy. Owner 781-706-4682 [email protected]

They replumbed our water main. Cost 32k and they now spam call me constantly. I would advise to shop around before going with Blue Bear. They tore a loose rock patio up and didn't even take the time to rake the rock to the side or put down tarps to keep the dirt separate from rock. They left a mess when done. I understood they weren't going to put down loom after digging other areas they needed to dig, but to have no regard for the patio was absurd. They came back on several visits to fix. Once with the absolute wrong color stone and only a bucket full. The ended up telling us they couldn't match the rock and dumped what they said was the best match. Very disappointing expensive repair with more headaches than needed if you ask me. Proceed with caution.
Blue Bear performed an update on our water heater. Before the technician came, we received a text specifically letting us know when he would arrive. The technician, Thomas was very courteous, professional and explained in detail any work that was performed. He was very thorough and took photos of the water heater for the files. We asked him about a possible discount and he called right after he left about the possibility AND then Blue Bear called us directly to facilitate the process. That is how a business should be run!! I am so impressed with this company!!
Hi Matt we appreciate your review, we can't seem to find your work order to confirm the above review. I noticed you stated we worked for you in a clients home? We have a strict procedure and policy, and present any and all pricing prior to work being started. The assumption would be you would have signed off on the estimated work prior to commencement, agreeing to our pricing structures. Again as I cannot find you as a customer I cannot confirm or deny your statement above. I'd be more than happy to discuss should you want to review the matter.
