They havent really been organized for the two times my wife and I have gone there and they arent very friendly. Here are just some of my experiences. Last year when I went to pick up my prescription glasses during business hours, middle of the day, the door was locked and they staff was all huddled in the lobby. After waiting 10 minutes and having two other people try to go in, I finally knocked on door and one of the employees came to door and said they were having a team meeting and that it will be over in 10-15min, she then proceeded to shut door and lock it without any further discussion. I ended up leaving and going back at a different time to get the glasses I already paid for. Why wouldnt they have their employee meeting before or after business hours? Poor management skills to turn away customers, that or poor time management. For my last appointment, I arrived 5min early and yet I still had to wait for 30+ minutes. I get that they may have been busy but the ironic part is if you are late or miss an appointment, they make you reschedule and they bill you for not giving them a 24hr notice. After my appointment I wanted to get glasses using coordination or benefits (I have two vision insurance providers) but the optical manager said they cant do that and that its against the law even though I have verified this with both of my insurance providers who said it can be done and that it is legal. Kennedy wouldnt believe me or even call my insurance provider. So I went to my old eye care provider (only reason I changed was because I moved) and they were able to process it for me without any hiccups. Fast forward two weeks I get a bill from Kennedy for a service I didnt even receive. In fact, I even signed a waiver acknowledging the risks of not receiving said service. My suggestiondont go to Kennedy Vision. Youre just a source of income to them when you should be treated as a patient or more than just potential income.
The cancellation policy of this optometrist is very unfair and expensive. I have been a patient for several years and was charged $50 for calling in a same-day cancelation. I cancelled on a day when excessive heat advisories were in place. I was not feeling well because of the 90+ degree temperatures in my area. It was so hot that day that schools were closing and people (especially the elderly) were being advised to stay home. And, yet, I was still charged $50 even though I was told that the charge was entirely up to the doctor's discretion. I will no longer be using this optometrist for my eye needs.
Had a great experience at Kennedy Vision - 1st time there. Dr Deanna Sell was very knowledgeable...I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great eye doctor! She's not only knowledgeable, but she's also got a great "bedside manner" - very personable. I'm very happy with the care I received while I was there - from initial reception from staff, thru the entire appt, & then checkout. Great work Kennedy!
Totally disappointed...they scheduled my eye appointment in Plymouth, I never go there, only Elk River for years especially now that I live in Onamia..I drove 45 min one way taking my time away from our business..no apologies
