I'm not reviewing the work but the experience and the person. The shop is actually in an office building with a guard. First time, the guard was not there. I had to call multiple times to finally get a hold of Joe. Then he had to come down to bring me up. So far so good. We agreed on a date for my suit to be ready. On that date, I went to pick it up, during the opening hours that he has on display everywhere. No guard. I called, could not get a hold of Joe. Called the guard who did not want to help me in any way (like taking me to Joe's door for example) and was rude. Called joe multiple times again, no answer and the answering machine was not working (not actually sure he has one). Went for lunch nearby than one hour later, tried to call again to get in, multiple times, still no answer. At this point, as I absolutely needed to get my suit and considering that we were Saturday before Christmas, I started to be concerned that the guy actually left town. I tried reaching on facebook and by email, still no answer. Finally, hours later, he answered the phone. I asked politely if his hours were not correct, telling that it was a bad experience and he started to ramble and tried to actually put the blame on me and that he was absolutely in his right not to respect his office hours and not be able to answer his clients by phone or email. I then went to pick up my suit, trying to be as calm as possible: as soon as I entered the door it told me, quote, that I was "ridiculous' for calling that many times. Then he proceeded to ramble again and try to put the blame on me. Acted like he was sooo busy he could not handle contacting clients or stick to his hours. Acted like it was not his fault that the answering machine was not working. Threw a couple of blatant lies in the mix and basically acted like an unapologetic jerk. I had to tell me 15 times that I wanted to get my suit, pay and leave but he kept on rambling and arguing. At this point I just stop talking which finally shut him up and I was able to get my stuff and leave. If you put hours for your office, you respect them. If you have a last minute event that forces you to leave office, you manage to be able to answer your client calls. There are many tailors that can get the job done for similar prices and actually respect their clients, no need to put yourself through this bs.
Joe promised hed have my clothing tailored in time for a wedding 1 week after I dropped off. After playing phone tag for 3 weeks, I finally was able to go pick up. He charged me for items he didnt even tailor. He seems to be able to do good work when he wants to, but dont risk getting the run around from someone who over promises and under delivers. He will dodge your calls then do subpar work. Go elsewhere.
Joe is simply amazing! His talent and eye for fashion is absolutely incredible. So happy I found him in Atlanta. Dont look any further for your tailoring needs. This man knows what hes doing and will get you right!
I came all the way from New Orleans and I needed some last minute alterations for an event and Mr. Joe saved the day! He was affordable and did it in 30 minutes. Great talented guy!
Came here on a Saturday and paid to park in the garage. The elevators from the building lobby did not allow access to the upper floors where this business is located. Hung around for a half hour and called multiples times to get assistance but nobody answered the phone. This business is inconveniently located and no staff available on Saturday despite business hours showing as open.
