I'm going to come back again sometime and I'll change this review if it improves. No problem w the service at all. Beer: In general good. The unfiltered pilsner had a sulfur-y taste, I could be more sensitive to that unfiltered flavor but I didn't really like it. The IPAs I had were great. There's about ten beers they make and 3-4 of them are fruity / sour, rest IPAs, then one dark beer / gimmick beer(pickle). The customers would definitely appreciate an ale or lager choice and a regular pilsner. With that being said I did enjoy the pickle beer a lot. The food wasn't bad but not great. I got the beef on weck the flavor was good but the sandwhich wasn't very big. My wife got a blackened chicken sandwhich and I took a bite of it and the chicken was very very dry. I know this place is new and I'd love to see them succeed, I'll be back to give them another shot in the future.
The duck wontons were awesome. The fan favorite was good, the bottom of the hoagie disintegrated but I just cut it up and it worked good. Like most people note, it's on the expensive side, but quality is good. And it being a local restaurant is a major bonus.
Hello Zachary, I can find your transaction in Toast and void it for you, we most definitely did not attempt any fraud, and the bartender in question has been written up for the incident. The person came back with your card later that evening but you did not leave any information as to how to reach you. I tried to find your card info in Toast to no avail currently, please email me at [email protected] and we can work this out together. Im sorry again, my bartender was overwhelmed and made a huge error! This does not represent our business practices. I had two beers at Bullfinch. They were okay, nothing to write home about. The problems arose when I tried to pay for the beers. Per their request, I had given them my credit card to hold on to when I opened my tab. When I tried to close out, they couldn't find the card. They eventually located a receipt with my name on it, which included several beers I had never ordered and a signature that wasn't mine. Presumably, the signature belonged to the random person they had allowed to add items to my tab and then handed my credit card to. This person was happy to provide a fraudulent signature and then leave with my card. It gets worse though. Upon discovering their incredibly unprofessional error, Bullfinch promised me they would void the transaction. Guess what? They didn't. They lied to my face, presumably hoping I wouldn't notice the charge going through. So now I get to deal with the twin headaches of cancelling and requesting re-issue of my card AND filing a charge-back dispute. TL,DR: Bullfinch staff are shockingly lackadaisical with customer's financial information at best, and possibly even active participants in fraud and theft.
