Treatments were completely ineffective. Within a day of spraying, our entire family was bitten multiple times by mosquitoes. Even with added bug spray, bug bracelets and citronella candles, the mosquitoes came. The entire pitch of their mosquito treatment is to make your back yard livable again, and we absolutely could not go outside. I called customer service several times to get help with this issue, and though the rep was always empathetic and courteous, they clearly gave a formulaic answer that wasn't going to solve anything. I was told they would "take note about my concerns, and write down that for the next treatment the technician needs to spray more thoroughly." This never happened. I even said I was willing to pay more for additional treatments or a customizable plan for our property, and nothing was done about it. When American Pest sent me a personal survey about my experience with them, I rated them quite low and very honestly. A customer service representative reached out to me personally via email, which I appreciated. However, after I followed up with that representative I received absolutely no response. I absolutely do not recommend their mosquito services. It is an absolute waste of time and money. Their cost is slightly lower than other competitors that we have tried in the past, but do not get scammed into that. Pay the slightly higher fee for a more effective product, and customer service that will actually get back in touch or re-treat your yard if need be.

I did a pre-examination of the inside of my home and discovered several openings/holes. During my visit the gentleman who serviced my home filled all the openings that I previously discovered. He also performed his own inspection. He looked for mouse droppings inside and outside my home and he also searched for additional openings that would allow a rodent to gain access to my home. He laid traps and sprayed outside my house. Because he could not gain access to my crawlspace (water), he placed a deterrent device outside the opening to the crawlspace. The service provider was professional, on time, courteous, and attentive to my concerns and questions.

I appreciate the automatic scheduling of maintenance appointments, the timely electronic submission of the reports and findings. And I have found the technician for the original appointment was very knowledgeable and had excellent communication skills.

We took a few days to respond because we asked our managers to pull the call relevant to this conversation as we wanted to confirm what happened. We recognize that you were told $150, and apologize that you were charged $350. Because of this mistake, I have asked that our accounting department credit you the difference which you should see within the next few days. I suspected a possible bed bug infestation. I called and inquired about an inspection. The representative said that an inspector would cost $99. I asked what inclusion of a canine would cost. She said $150. I said that doesn't sound like that much more, I will take it. When I looked at the charge to my bank account it was $350. When I called back the representative responded that $150 is what the canine inspector charges them, then insisted she quoted me $350. Note that it is stretching credulity that I would just happen to have remembered the exact amount they pay the inspector. Much more likely is she was looking at a list of wholesale prices and their retail markups and inadvertently quoted me the wholesale price. Especially given that there was no written estimate e.g. email to protect the customer, her dismissive comment that I could not possibly have been misquoted and no adjustment can be made is unconscionable. This a very dishonest business.
