I have been a patient here since 2017. I will never be returning. Not even for my diabetic eye exam.
I would like to start out by sincerely apologizing for the way I presented myself during your eye exam. I know I may have inadvertently overstepped some boundaries and said some things that may have hurt your feelings. For that, I am genuinely sorry. I truly appreciate your honest feedback as this will help me become a better doctor. I can reassure you that I had no ill intentions and my only goal was to provide you with the best care possible as the eyes and the body function together as a whole. I have been an eye doctor for over 27 years and have always cared for and treated my patients like I would a family member or friend. However, I have realized that I need to be more sensitive and perceptive when working with each and every one of our patients. Once again, I thank you for bringing this to my attention and I will do the very best I can to improve my patient communication. I hope you will give our office another chance since we have 2 other doctors in the office to serve you better in the future.

I had a terrible experience here. While I found the staff to be friendly, it was the optometrist/owner who was completely inappropriate towards me. While she may have had good intentions, I found her to be very unprofessional as she offered unsolicited weight loss advice to me during my eye exam. I am unsure what made her think that I needed weight loss advice, as i am a grown woman who is very aware that I am overweight. I found it very condescending and it wasn't her place to offer such advice as she is not my primary doctor nor a nutritionist. Then when it came to choosing frames, I specifically asked to check out the translucent type frames and she blew me off saying that they were going out of style and instead showed me heavy black frames. When I received my new expensive glasses, I was never able to adjust to them because the prescription was off for some reason and they kept falling off of my nose. I made another appointment , asked for a different optometrist, picked out a new frame, the translucent ones I wanted, and haven't had any issues with adjusting to the new prescription, the correct prescription, and they fit my face perfectly. I understand that sometimes frames don't fit but had she shown me the frames I asked for, I wouldn't have had to make a whole return and instead, just adjust the prescription. If you're fat, avoid this place. Also I should note that they are not disinfecting their equipment properly. I work in health care so I know that to disinfect a surface properly, you have to allow the disinfectant to dry after cleansing. The directions are clearly printed on the disinfectant label. The staff was wiping it off with a towel. Thus wiping off the disinfectant. Thus not disinfecting the surface. But wear a mask, right? I will never refer anyone to this business.
Always feel like Im in great hands. Great coordination of care with specialists, comprehensive explanations of procedures and next steps with managing more complex care. I dont just show up for glasses anymore like I have since they opened. I need a little more monitoring and I am finding that the continuity of care with doctors and staff is extremely comforting when you are embarking on a new clinical diagnosis. I walked out of both appointments last week and this week understanding more than I thought I would. I really understand how and why I need exams every six months, I feel like they are taking a balanced and cautious approach and I feel like they are going to advocate for additional interventions as needed. I walked in on guard two weeks ago, and a each appointment walked out feeling more optimistic than I had been before hand. What a relief!
I am updating a previous review. The staff were initially great, however I felt that the upgrades were not properly explained and the price differences were not relayed. When posting my orginal review I recieved 2 follow up phone calls telling me I should change my review and that they were great. So here it stands, my 3 star review is changed to 1 and I'm stuck with a nearly 500 dollar pair of glasses that I can't wear and ended up having to go to another place to get glasses. They were more than 200 dollars cheaper for the same prescription, they actually fit me, and had a great experience.
