Hello Joseph, Thank you for your review. We apologize for your wait. As I explained to you when you came in, it is a requirement that you come in shampooed or get shampooed when you come in to get your hair braided.We require the hair to be clean and free of any build up or dirt. When your glam doll offered/recommended a shampoo you declined. Because of that, we had to decline the service. Thank you for your feed back.
Date of transactions: 7/17/21-$518(deposit for micro ink install), 7/30/21-$72 (for color service), 8/7/21-$400 (remainder of payment for microlink service). On June 17, 2021, I booked hair appointments for my upcoming 25th birthday trip for 8/13/21. I was supposed to be getting a color service & microlink installation. Upon booking my service, I spoke with the owner of the salon Chris Francios, who assured me that her salon is capable of coloring my hair the exact color as the picture I provided to her & was assured that the microlinks would match my kinky curly hair texture & was told the microlinks were kinky curly as well. The first service I received on 7/30 was to color my natural hair & the result was not what I previously discussed & showed via picture. I complained to the owner & was told to email pictures of my hair which, I did. Several days went by & the owner never responded to my email so I went to the salon & asked for a full refund. The owner acted shocked that I showed up to the salon & when I confronted her about not responding to an email she told me to send her, she lied & said she did not see it which makes no sense because a normal professional would have reached out to follow up regarding the situation, especially when they provided the horrible service. I was told that she could not refund me for the microlinks because the deposit I paid was to purchase the hair, which I also was not told at the time I paid. I was told the deposit was for the hair service. The owner then assured me the color can be fixed & that the stylist that dyed my hair was fired. A few days later I returned to have the color corrected. I was there after hours for several hours while the stylist attempted to dye my hair without bleaching it first! I had to bring up the fact that my hair would need to lifted with bleach first and then dyed to achieve the color I want & was assured they could do...MIND YOU I AM NOT A HAIR STYLIST & have no experience doing hair but knew it was common sense that dark hair can not be lifted without bleaching it first. After several hours I still did not get the exact color I wanted but I was not going to sit there for several more hours & be a guinea pig while the stylist tried to figure it out. On 8/7/21 I returned for my micro link install & was told by the owner that I can not get my hair wet for 72 hours so they straightened the micro links & my natural hair. 3 days before my 25th birthday trip on 8/10 I washed my hair & realized I was lied to by the owner! The micro links didn't match my natural hair texture at all so I addressed it with the owner & was lied to again & told she would refund my money & have someone remove the links. Later that same day I was told she is short-staffed so she can't take them out. With 3 days before my trip I scrambled to find someone else to remove them & buy new hair from another business, costing me an additional $650. I was never refunded by the owner & had to dispute the charges with my bank. My bank was only able to refund some of the $990 I paid for the horrible/fraudulent services I received because during their investigation the owner I assume lied again about what really happened. Due to her fraudulent ways I was told by my bank $400 would be removed from my account. As a result I had to involve the Better Business Bureau in this matter! The owner knew since 7/17 why I was getting these services done & when I was leaving for my trip & that I planned on wearing my hair in its natural curly state due to the humidity in Mexico & she still continued to lie to me every step of the way. The sad thing is even after everything she did & all the money she cost me I was not going to leave a review or involve BBB because I am black & this salon is black owned & I would never want to hurt another black woman or her livelihood. I was just going to let the bank handle it but since she has continued to not accept responsibility for what she did, this is what it has come to. Attached are pictures of my hair, the color, & microlinks that did not match my natural hair!

La glam is everything and more. Chrissy does a fantastic job to make sure her dolls are looking amazing. She does everything from coloring to sew ins and wigs. Its a professional environment and clean. They also have this bells you press for wine, they serve you wine or whatever beverage you want. If you are looking for that luxury treatment la glam is the right place for you.
