I note you have changed your review from initial postive to a nagative as we werent able to satisfy the service fully. But for the benefit of everyone lets recap the details. 18.02 - You contacted us with an engine management issue and the power was cutting out for morethan 8 times as you were making your way to the garage and there was no power to car (not morethan 2000 rpm) This was diagnozed and fixed. You then wanted to get the MOT done which was failed at the inspection. All issues on this was fixed. I have always been open and transparent of the issues and the costs. You were aware in agreement of all the costs. The 412.00 (not 450) charge was for all the parts and labour for the above repairs. I then handed over the car to you. 02.03 - You then contacted me again along with recovery engineer stating the car was driven on an unsuitable road with broken shock on the driverside and being a none starter. We have spent time and energy with the electritian to diagnose the issue. At the time of inspection we could not identify any issues as the car was starting. This also shown to.you and there were no errors shown with the diagnostics and or indications on the dashboard. I have not charge you for my time as this was done in good faith. As there was no base for us to diagnose the problem any further i was not comfortable of probing any further as the costs could have spiral and you wouldn't have been happy if that was the case.. After showing the evidence I handed the car back to you. By end of march, you contacted me again stating you have done your own research and instructed me to clean EGR. As stated, due to the condition of the EGR valve (due to corotion and rust) it was impossible to remove it and i have shown you the evidence of that as well. If i was to progress, it would have led to further damage which i wasn't comfortable. This is the reason why i suggested you to use an EGR cleaning spray to estsblish whether it would solve the problem. It was the most cost effective way and the first step that should be looked taken.. We tool these steps this with your consent and agreement. It is unfortunate to know that the issue was not resolve and you have chosen someone else to conclude the issue but glad it is now resolved. It is our intention to provide a good service to all our customers and understand it is impossible to satisfy everytime. Check engine light now gone and MOT done. The issue of stalling is unresolved. 450 spent so far, EGR value was meant to be removed but it wasn't. All that was done was use a spray can which I was charged 50 for, car was fine for two days but started stalling again. Defensive when I told him car was stalling again. Found a new mechanic that resolved the issue in no time.
