I had a new prescription & went to Myoptic to get a new pair of glasses. Mimi Liedle was a good salesperson and optician when she was assisting me. However, the wait was long, even though I had an appointment. I was kept waiting while other customers were helped, which didnt make sense, since some of them appeared to be walk-ins. And even if they werent walk-ins, I had a scheduled appointment. She did eventually help me find a nice pair of glasses, but the wait was annoying. I am now waiting to receive my glasses & they should be ready in around two weeks. I will write another review once I get the glasses. So, bottom line - Myoptic has a talented optician & salesperson in Mimi, but it needs better management. And, in the two text messages asking me to do this review, they misspelled my name Sarag. Really

Go elsewhere if you value your time, appreciate being treated as a person whose time is worth valuing, and prefer not to have to endure mild psychological torture as part of your experience. I've been coming here for over 5 years and I'm not sure what happened but things have really deteriorated here. Today's experience was so bad that the idea of never having to come back here brought me great joy. Nearly three months ago, I scheduled my annual eye exam. The earliest available appointment was a month out, but that's to be expected. Then, a week before my appointment, I get a call saying that they messed up and there's no doctor available that day. We'll have to reschedule. And that's another month's wait. Ok that's pretty frustrating, but I guess these things happen. Maybe some new hire made the error. I can extend some grace here. Two months later, I show up right on time for the appointment. They're running a little late. Fine, I read a little. Fifteen minutes go by. Twenty. It's been nearly a half hour before I get seen. A half-hour is a long time to wait, and I don't find this acceptable. Even better, when I told the receptionist that I would rather get dilated than pay the extra fee for the retinal photo, she somehow took that to mean "skip it altogether." I now have to come back in two weeks to do that part. That's today. Again, I'm right on time. Again, I'm made to wait 20 minutes. I get the dilation drops. They take 15 minutes to kick in. Five have already passed by the time I'm ushered back into the waiting area. But it's not 10 minutes that I wait. It's another 25 minutes because guess what- the doctor decided to see the next patient and go through their entire appointment, while I'm sitting there waiting. With dilated eyes! This means I can't read. I can't do anything but sit there and quietly freak out because I've missed my next appointment and this is starting to feel like a subtle horror movie. You can't just leave a dilated patient hanging for 25 minutes while they lose their mind with nothing to do. This was the most egregious part of my experience. You simply cannot treat people like this. This was supposed to be a quick 30 min appointment but it ended up costing me an hour of my life I'll never get back, made me miss the next appointment I had lined up, all while subjecting me to some low-key psychological torture. I don't understand why I was treated like this, like a person whose time and well-being is simply not valuable. I don't think that's very fair when I did nothing but be on time and try to extend grace for all the administrative incompetence. The whole experience had a very strong DMV vibe and the best part is that I never have to go back there again. I'm finding a new place. The end.
