I've been using 18|8 for a few years now and while I've had mixed experiences with the different stylists, I've generally been happy. The environment and atmosphere is great. All that said, I'm highly upset at the results of my last visit. I have decently long hair and just wanted the split ends trimmed, and my neck and ears cleaned up since I haven't had a cut in 9 months. That's all I asked for, and the stylist never asked me if I wanted anything different. The end result is this dude cut off between 1" to 4" in different places. At one point he was just twisting my hair and half cutting into it saying something about "volume". Bro, I don't need volume, I just wanted my split ends trimmed. I've been tempted to just buzz off my hair because I'm so annoyed at the random lengths from this visit. I can't recommend 18|8 after a visit like this.

My young adult son wanted a completely new look to boat his self esteem and help him in his job search. The staff was very receptive and helpful when I booked the appointment. Kody did a magnificent job. She listened to what he wanted and made sure he knew how to maintain it. She was very warm and friendly. My son came out looking and feeling like a million bucks.

Being half Chinese, my hair is difficult for many stylists to know how to cut. Ethnic hair in general poses challenges to many hair salons in the US, but its especially hard to find those who can cut Asian hair. 18|8 Fine Mens Salon in Brookhaven is a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for. This is pleasantly designed, definitely geared to men but not in the sports-themed way. Its more sophisticated than that. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and provide a great haircut.

Very unprofessional service. Stylist talking politics, since we did not share the same candidate for president she made a bald spot in the back of my head on purpose and said nothing to me. If it wasnt because my friends came with me and told me. I wouldnt have noticed. Terrible service!! The stylist name is Stephanie.
