Most horrific camping weekend ever. We will not return. This is a party campground. If you are one to enjoy countless golf carts zooming through the campground until 2am, this is your place. The manager is no better, with her pink golf cart. Music blared all weekend, with no regard to other patrons or even quiet hours. The old managers followed and enforced the rules. The campsites, however, are tidy and the water toys are a great feature. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. Dislike.
We just spent the weekend here for my daughters birthday and had a great time. We got to spend a lot of time at the lake playing on the inflatables and doing some fishing. There are plenty of bluegills, to keep my daughter busy. They only complaint I have is their over bearing rules and enforcement. This is the only campground that I have been to that charges $50 fines for a dog that is on a leash, but not being held. With a 3 strike policy then removal from the campground. You can have the dogs in the water on the far end of the lake, but you better have them leashed and in your hand the entire time. I don't see any of this information on their webpage when booking and caught us a bit off guard. They will patrol the campground, multiple times a day to enforce the rules. We generally keep our dogs tied up while in the campsite, so it wasn't a problem. I understand the need to have rules, but these seemed excessive, and I don't enjoy having to constantly be concerned that I might be breaking a rule. So we probably wont be back, but if we didn't have dogs this place probably would have received 5 stars from us. There are plenty of other campgrounds where you can relax more.
I went to the campground to do some karaoke in the pavillion. What a fantastic campground. The owners are super friendly, and the place is clean and friendly. They have awesome huge inflatables in the water for everyone to use. I highly recommend this place. Off the beaten path and fantastic.
The site and owners were wonderful. They would visit everyday just to make sure that you had everything you need. The campground was very clean and will cared for. We had a great stay at Diamond Lake. A very big thank you to the owners Joe and Jenn. If we lived closer we would be visiting all the time .
The pond is nice with the water slides and inflatables. It was also easy to book our sites, which were decent. Problem is the new owners are very rude. They do not make non-seasonals feel welcome. Even if you say thank you and try to be polite, the male with give you a rude look and not say anything. The location / slant of the land for the dump station also makes this process difficult and less effective.
