Poor Service , poor communication with customer and poor communication between employees. I Signed contract for over $22,000.00 on Dec. 1, 2020 and it is May 5, 2021 and still no service. I get bills from Loanpal (their loan company) and am expected to pay for no service. Something apparently people the people at clean initiative did not know. I am glad I did not give them my bank account to do automatic payment. Clean initiative payed the 2 bills but not the 3rd one yet. In the meantime I get threats of a collection agency for not paying for no service. No communication volunteered of what's going on. I have to keep calling for information of which my calls are not taken so I text. The replies have limited information and do not address all my questions. The initial salesman 1st salesman said I can call anytime I have questions but apparently that didn't mean he would answer anything. Eventually my issues were given to 2nd salesman whose voice I haven't heard on the phone since probably mid march. After I text he will eventually reply. It is gotten to the point where now Clean Initiative and Loanpal have gotten a "third party" to help in communications from Paramount Equity to give my issues to Clean Initiative. Inspector came over at least 5 fails times. First time the inspector wanted money I thought that was strange. Inspector said the wrong breakers were installed, The ground wire had to go to front water main pipe, paint on house had to be touched up, Box had to be moved. The last time the Engr. dwg had to be corrected that said my house was rewired so I didn't need special breakers. That free fan was installed so that it blew insulation in the attic which came down through vents. 4 months and Clean Initiative still has not fixed it. The Fan just needs to be pointed out the outside vent. How can this company have gotten a high grade from the better business bureau? My family knows not to go to this company My Coworkers know not to go to this company My Friends know not to go to this company I spoke with Solar companies Advosy Energy in Glendora and they said it is unusual, Vivint Solar said this company sounds like a nighmare. I spoke with agency with California Energy Program and said this is the type of incident that prevents people wanting to go solar. I wish I had picked another company. Like Clean Initiative Says on there Website "if You Have A Cancer Cut It Out" I dread the day I have an issue with this system because the response is very slow and labored. I regret having contact with this company. Update: filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau, City of Covina Solar Permit Dept. & California Contractors State Licence Board. My system was approved 4/15/2021 and had no service because inverter box was not working. Clean Initiative never checked about my service until I continually complained and they finally returned my calls 5/12/2021. Today is Aug. 24, 2021 and still no reduction in my electricity. I ended up with solar panels that are nothing more than a $22,000.00 conversation piece. The Better Business Bureau, City of Covina Permit Dept., & California Contractors State Board got them to fix things but with the money I spent you would think they would get Edison to acknowledge my Solar Panels. The Owner lives in Utah and says his name is Eduardo Ortiz Gonzalez. Not according to BBB. As of Sept. 20, 2021 no benefit after spending $22,000.00 after signing contract Dec. 1. 2020. I still get regular Electric Bill.

Hi Joseph, we are sorry you feel you us a bad experience. All of the programs we work with are dependent on the homeowners energy usage and consumption. For those that are high users, solar is usually the best option as it saves people a tremendous amount of money without having to pay out of pocket. Not only can they get solar at no out of pocket cost, but in some cases the program even provides free attic and whole house fans. There is no bait and switch here as this is how these programs work. Classic bait and switch. 2 guy came out say there are free program that offer attic insulation and whole house fan and they are here to help identify it for me. Once they got my information run through their "hi-tec" algorithm. The result is I am qualified for free solar program I think that is the same for everyone. Next step I need is to let them run my credit report ( they did not use credit report they said something like " we need you FICO number" as part of the application process) (sure I give out my s.s # to anyone I talk to) and go from there. Then I ask what about the whole house fan and other stuff. Their answer "those go with the solar panels program". I live in so cal, at lease once a month I got a solar salesman come by saying their program is better than others. It free this and that. Just want other to aware . If solar what you want talk to them. Otherwise don't waste your time.

The solar panels were extremely affordable and of excellent quality. Installation took two days and was completed expertly. My questions were satisfactorily answered. It could not have gone any better, including assistance with my homeowner's association application. The staff was well-organized and efficient. I couldn't have asked for a better overall experience.

We spoke with Daniel and he was so kind and easy to talk to. We asked so many questions and if he did not know the answer, he got on his phone right then and called someone who did know the answer. While we did not end up using the service because the timing was not right for us, Daniel was great. Edited to include: a month after canceling the loan within the 3 day cancellation period because we could not commit to the payments during Covid, my credit score has dropped. We were told it would be a SOFT INQUIRY on my credit and it would not hit our credit unless we started the work (which we didnt & cancelled the loan w/confirmation). We never started the work and suddenly my credit score has dropped 40 points!! The problem is they couldnt get us a quote until checking our credit and that has turned out to be detrimental. My credit score was in the Excellent range and now it has dropped to the Good range. I am not happy about it.
