I hired Eddie for some photographs for my dating profile after finding him from a Google search. I saw his Yelp account had raving reviews so I quickly contacted him. Eddie was professional and friendly in person, but unfortunately I found the results of his service unsuccessful and subpar considering how costly it is. His method attempts to grab candid shots. While talking to you in casual conversation, he snaps photos of you with his DSLR camera without even looking through the lense. This results in photos out of focus, over saturated, and in some cases distorted. I confirmed this by getting second opinions from other photographers since the price he charges was so high. The other issue with this method is there is no instruction on posing for a photo that will bring out your best features. You are left with photos of you mid conversation, mouth open, and looking unflattering. Unhappy with the results (with a decrease in matches from what I had from my old photos) I wrote Eddie an email asking for a refund stating all my issues with the photographs. After a grueling and lengthy back and forth over 10 essay-like email, I finally got a refund of half the cost back, which is not as much of a refund as I asked for nor deserve considering I'm not using his photos.

Eddie was so wonderful to work with! I never had professional headshots done before and he was very open to my ideas and flexible with his time. Because of the rainy weather we had to re-schedule twice and Eddie was totally accommodating. I highly recommend Eddie Hernandez Photography.
