Not happy with the training provided for my daughters service dog. We spent tons of money on training for this dog when they should have just told us our dog should not be a service dog and help us find a dog that could do service work. We ended up getting help from another trainer and are so happy we did, with the help of the other trainer my daughter now has a new service dog and my daughter is now thriving and has become a dog trainer herself. If you are looking for a service dog for yourself or your children we do not recommend going here.

First, Ill start with what I like about The Dog Alliance. I went to the camp several SEVERAL years ago as a kid with my dog. It was the most fun Ive ever had, I cherish those memories as she is no longer with us. I highly recommend the dog camp for kids. The facility is very nice and huge. They offer a wide variety of programs from agility to day camp, or even grooming. They also do very good work for the community by training service dogs for veterans and others with disabilities. Now, what I dont like. I took my puppy to the puppy kindergarten classes with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was let down. The trainer was good, but I felt we didnt get much accomplished, and couldve saved the money and watched a YouTube video. I did like that she got to socialize with the other puppies, but ultimately wasnt what I was hoping to achieve. I did much more work with her at home, and found better results from videos. Its a good class, but too expensive in my opinion. I was looking into the dog day camp for her, as she developed some fearfulness to other dogs, but its way too pricey for the average joe. I shopped around and found a different facility in round rock that offered a 3 week extensive training program for the same price the dog alliance charges for 10 days of just day camp. Im amazed at how much my puppy has grown and how different she is now, the other training program has helped mold her into a well mannered young dog. In conclusion, yes this is a good place for kid day camp is you have the money to spare. The training programs dont offer as much as one would hope for the price. But if money isnt an issue, then go for it. I wouldnt recommend this facility if youre looking for more bang for your buck. I would recommend it if youre dog is trained, and just needs better manners.

I was not able to attend a training class with the Dog Alliance as the dog I signed up could not stay in our home for her safety as well as the safety of our other pets, however, I wanted to leave a 5-Start review because of how understanding and efficient the staff was in cancelling the class.

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear that you are unhappy with training your daughter (you) received 3.5 years ago. We know it is very difficult to find out your dog isn't a good candidate as a service dog. Not happy with the training services that were provided for my daughters service dog. I spend a lot of money with training and the classes and private lessons were just not working with them so I tried another trainer and they could tell me after working with my dog only a couple times that my dog would not qualify for service work because of her temperament and reactivity. I wish Austin dog alliance would not have given us false hope and had us put thousands of dollars into this dog if she didnt have a chance in working for my child. Edit: my mother didnt know how to write a review so she wrote it on my account, I will happily show her how to do it on hers so she can write one under her name. However, I (Ashley) am also very disappointed in the training provided, I didnt personally pay for the majority of training because I was a minor but it was a service dog for my disabilities. Now that I am a trainer myself I understand a whole lot more about dogs and service dog training than I did when I went to you as a teenager a couple years ago. The behaviors my dog did in your classes should have made the trainer disqualify her as a service dog in training instantly instead of giving up false hope and recommending us to take unnecessary steps and classes. Thank you for replying and for wishing me luck on my training/business. I have you all to thank for setting me on this path of service dog training, and I truly love it!
