Hi Valerie I'm Sadiel one of the owners of Escape Salón I'm so sorry to hear you are frustrated after your first visit, although you booked at last minute I agree completely with you that Kelli could have been more upfront about her schedule and gave you the option to look elsewhere so you were not frustrated about the extended time it took her to service you. Also I'm happy to know your haircut and hair treatment Kelli applied during the shampoo met and exceeded your expectations, but as an apology we would like to offer you 50% refund on your services.

Feeling very frustrated with my service and will not be returning. I scheduled a same day, relatively last minute appointment with Kelli online for 3:15. I later called to confirm since the appointment was only about 2 hours out, and she told me to come in 30 min later at 3:45, which again I knew I booked last minute so I didnt mind. I got there 10 minutes before my appointment time, only to wait almost an hour before finally sitting in a chair at 4:30. I wasnt too upset at this point because I understand things happen and Kelli was talking about having tire troubles. I reminded her I wanted a cut and wash (I had pretty long hair and was getting about 12 inches off) so she did a super quick rough chop and then we went to wash my hair. About 10 minutes later in the middle of washing my hair, her 4:45 appointment walks in, and Kelli proceeds to wash, blow dry, style and complete this entire appointment while leaving my head in the bowl, sopping wet and very uncomfortable. She didnt even have the courtesy to tell me she was serving someone else in the middle of washing my hair until I asked. Had she not rough chopped my hair prior to sending me to sit for an hour, I absolutely would have walked out. Finally, 2 hours after my initial appointment at 5:45, she started tending to me. Kelli is perfectly talented and I ended up loving my hair cut, but the experience was very unprofessional, inconsiderate of my time, and overall frustrating. To top it off, the price for a cut and wash was $80 online and that is what was said when I booked, and even after waiting over 2 hours to finally get service, my ticket ended up being $128 dollars because I had long hair which doesnt make sense to me because it took about 5 seconds to put in a pony and cut off the 12 inches and an almost $50 up charge for long hair seems outrageous, but thats even besides the point.

Edit: To include details and reason behind the 1 star rating. I had scheduled an appointment and spoke with Kelli regarding said appointment. Im local and I walked over from my apartment, noticed the sign on the elm street location and then walked over to the Main Street location. I arrived minutes after my scheduled appointment when I walked inside and asked for Kelli I was told she wasnt in and to call her. When I did my call was forwarded. I walked home, posted the review and scheduled an appointment elsewhere before she attempted to contact me again. It is what it is, I must have just fallen through the cracks somewhere. Kelli did leave a message welcoming me to come back in however the initial experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I had already established an appointment with another Salon.

Ken all the way! I call him Edward scissor hands, havent found anyone yet in 20+ years to match his work of art. Plus the care and nourishment he provides for the hair, Ive had my hair cut all off and grown all back down to the middle of back. I trust no other hands to do my hair.

I visited Escape in want of transformation last Tuesday, 4/20, and Kelly, the owner and hairstylist, was great! She was kind, efficient and just super cool. My whole experience was nothing but amazing. I love my new haircut! I will definitely be back next time.

Initially, I was very excited to get my hair done. The reviews were great so I thought itd have a good experience. I scheduled an appointment last minute and they managed to squeeze me in. I was scheduled for 10:30 am today, I waited 30 minutes for my appointment. I called a few times and Kelly was still on her way to the salon. At first it was five minutes, I waited. Five minutes turned into thirty, it was such a waste of time. To drive there, and not get any service done. It is EXTREMELY unprofessional to have your client waiting. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. Very unprofessional. If I could give 0 starts I would.
