Reis was absolutely amazing. Not only did he catch everything but he explained (in great detail) how to maintain the home properly. Along with conveying the damages that will occur from neglecting regular maintenance. If you want an inspector that catches all the issues of the home, then look no further.

I took Washington's Home Inspection training and licensing course and field experience from Inside Out Building Inspection and passed the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE) on the first attempt with a 92% in the national content area including building science, analysis & reporting, and business operations. Reis Pearson, who holds a Masters in Education, has an eye for detail and knows what is important not only during home inspections, but also the ins and outs of operating a successful home inspection business, and all with a great sense of humor! In addition to traditional instruction, including carefully planned units with small assessments (and awesome videos!), the class holds daily walks around the neighborhood to evaluate buildings and point out real-world examples, and any student of Reis should finish feeling confident in their ability to enter the WA home inspection industry.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Reis was communicative at every step leading up to the inspection, showed up on time (and even gave us a heads up that he thought he was on schedule but might be delayed by traffic well in advance), and was very friendly and professional. He was masked and very clearly taking COVID precautions very seriously, which was greatly appreciated. The inspection was extremely thorough compared to others I've had in the past, but still completed in a time that seemed more than reasonable. At the end of the inspection Reis gave me a tour of the house from top-to-bottom and not only covered everything he planned to put in his report, but also gave lots of additional context about why it mattered, how it could be remediated, and how soon action was needed - this is the kind of above-and-beyond experience that separates the best from everyone else. He was upfront ahead of time about the possibility that he would be unable to perform a requested service, and when it turned out that he was in fact unable he recommended someone in the area that could. A wonderful experience as a homeowner, and a truly nice guy to boot. You couldn't hope to do any better.
