I visited the salon on 22/04/2016 and had a cut and blow dry.I also bought a product and therefore I spent a total of 60 and booked to have highlights the following week. As always I was very pleased with the way my hair had been styled. However when I returned the following week to have my highlights done was shocked to be charged another 90 and was told the price of a cut was built into the price of the highlights! Obviously I didn't need another cut so therefore feel I was charged twice for one cut! My hair is very short and also not very thick so surely it does not take as long or use as much product as it would if my hair was long? Over the last week I have spent 150 for 1 cut, 2 blow-drys a product and highlights. This seems an extortionate amount of money and I feel robbed. I had another appointment booked to have another cut and blow dry in 5 weeks time but have now cancelIed. I should of been advised that it would cost 90 even though I didn't need a cut before starting the highlights then I could of had the chance to say no! I am very happy with the cut and the highlights but do not feel I have been charged a fair price.............I have now spoken to several other ladies who are all equally as shocked as me as to what I have been charged. I have also rung 4 other hairdressers in Stowmarket and they all price highlights separately from a cut! I cannot fault the stylist but Chapmans pricing and customer services leaves a lot to be desired. I would give it 5 stars for the stylist but 1 star for the salon and their customer services. I did contact the salon directly to dispute the cost but the reply amounted to that's the way it is tough......we have cancelled your next appointment as requested! Not good customer relations. What a shame as I had finally found a stylist who I was very happy with but will not go again as feel robbed.
I used to go to any hair dressers or barbours in Stowmarket depending on where I would have to wait the least time. Some how, and I really cant remember why, I ended up only using Chapmans and that is how it has been for the last 10 years. I cannot remember if it was the fact that I received the best hair cut there, or if it was the friendly welcoming staff.. regardless, I wouldnt now go anywhere else. I cannot praise Sharon and her team enough which is why they now cut my whole families hair.
