EDIT,: April 2022: 15 months after getting this car, it had major engine failure resulting in 9K repair cost. We sold it to the Subaru dealership for 1K and they are putting it up for auction. We feel were were sold a total piece of garbage by Main Street Motors. If MSM knew it was an almost-dead car-- shame on them. If they didn't know it-- how could you trust them on any other car? 3 months later: 3 months after buying the car, we finally could afford to make all the repairs which came to a whopping total of $3022.00. Replaced head gaskets, replace timing belt, new battery needed PLUS new battery terminals. On a car that cost $4500.00 (before dealer fee and tax). That's almost 70% of what the car cost! Now, there are basically 3 options here. 1. The employee we dealt with was to blame. She has since been fired we were told. Still, the company has a responsibility to disclose major repairs needed. 2. They knew about the repairs and were not transparent (we even ASKED about the timing belt and they told us it had been replaced). 3. They never had the car looked at by a mechanic and had no idea what the repairs were. Either way, I don't think any of the 3 reflect well. We should have insisted on a mechanic report-- but we live over an hour away so could not get it to our trusted mechanic. Jan 2021: The staff is generally nice and they are very responsive. I do like the car I purchased, but I am leaving 3 stars because my main concern on a car with 170K miles was if it had the timing belt replaced. Beth told me the owner said it was recently replaced. Bought it and took it to my mechanic for a new car inspection. Battery didn't pass the test, oil leak in the gaskets, and... timing belt needed to be immediately replaced-- several cracks. Also, because this was over an hour away I asked about coming on a day I don't work and Beth gave that sales-y thing of "well, lots of people are interested it might be gone..." When I called back to report about the timing belt, Beth accused me of attacking her character. Perhaps it's just that one staff member, she is the main one I dealt with. Overall, I am happy with the car, but would have certainly not paid the full price if I knew it would immediately need $2700 in repairs (head gaskets, timing belt, new battery). I wish they would have been upfront-- disclose what work it needs-- and if a used car place isn't checking that, that isn't good either. I also don't like the way it was handled when I called back-- that's not good customer service. Even just acknowledging the issue would have been something. Again, it wasn't my worst experience but it was not great. I was there for over 4 hours it was quite a long process with paperwork etc. I wouldn't buy here again.

We were slightly skeptical at first about working with a privately owned dealership, but after reading all the positive reviews, we decided to make the 2 hour drive to Main Street Motors of Gainesville. Turns out, we are extremely happy we did. My wife and I have been looking for a specific vehicle; a Honda Pilot with the old body style for over a month and we finally found it here. We were a bit discouraged because it was out of our budget however after talking with Rafael, he informed us that he could get us into this vehicle and fit our budget. From everything we saw, this dealership is ran by honest, genuine people. You wont go wrong choosing Rafael and his team. Thanks again Main Street Motors of Gainesville.

Does anything with the following email sound a bit like saying two diff things? Wouldnt discuss anything via email only would if Id go down there and let them pressure me in person I guess? Oh and they called me three times in 6 hours each time asking email only. From dealership: The price of the car is the price listed on our website. $XX,995. We don't mark up our vehicles when you come in, the uprice online is the price you get + taxes and dmv fees. If you wish to negotiate the value of the car you are more than welcome to do that in person when you come in. . Based on what they said via email, will not even look when driving by- Update after they asked what car should be worth I did my homework and found their own carfax provided valued it much lower and indicated vehicle possibly mechanically and safety effected due to the moderate damage from what points of impact appear to show rear ended someone and then rear ended. 2013 Honda Fit if youre looking at it!
