They told me to come at 8:30 I stayed and waited till 9:30. They didn't open and I tried messaging the number that set up my appointment and no response. Mainly annoyed at wasting my gas and time to go there for nothing.

Context and Perspective. We spoke about this in person and it became very obvious that this discourse is about a personality conflict between you and I. It occasionally happens in every business and it's unfortunate but rather than go back and forth and pick a part your post's factual inaccuracy I will just say that I have no personal issue with you at all. Your depiction of events are not at all commensurate with my company's long standing practice of excellence. Are we perfect? No! Do we fall short of our own goals sometimes? Yes. Do we always improve? Yes! This industry is highly competitive and things like professionalism , consistency, cleanliness, integrity and fairness are hallmarks of any great gym. For 14 years we have set an extremely high standard in this regard. We have the customer feedback and reputation to prove it. I am dismayed by this post because you have consistently shared videos of your son training here on social media platforms. You have never once made a complaint about anything to a member of my staff or myself. I am confused as to why your son is "afraid' of me when I have interacted with him maybe once or twice since you joined the gym. I don't teach his class and in fact I am rarely if ever involved with that student group. "Yelling at the kids for silly things" ? I have on two occasions addressed the kids about their behavior and unsafe horseplay in my facility. Parents have allowed the kids to run around the facility, I understand why but it's not ok. It distracts the others from learning and more to the point it's dangerous to have kids hitting each other with gear and running through the weight room. So yes. I admonished them directly. Not profane. Not rude but directly. You may have thought it was too harsh or not friendly enough. You are entitled to your opinion. This building was built in the 1960's as a warehouse/gymnastics school . There is no AC unit as you are aware but there are wall mounted evaporator coolers that are on from 9 am to 9 pm daily. Last week was the hottest week of the year. So naturally it was warmer than normal. The coolers and fans were on . It was well over 113 every single day last week and evaporator coolers are not going to cool the building like an AC unit would. Consequently , it is warm. This is exactly why the kids Jiu Jitsu class has been no/gi and remains so for the duration of summer. I think your post is inaccurate and lacks context. However I applaud you for publicly stating your feelings and even though our face to face conversation was not fruitful I hold no ill will toward you. In fact you have the option of continuing your son's training or at your request I will refund the pro-rated remainder of your contract to you. I know your son loves training here and the instructors love teaching him. So I will leave that decision to you. Be well.

Signed my son up for a year membership. Coach Dylan and coach Darren are great. My son loves them but he is afraid of the owner from the way hes seen him yell at other kids over silly things. Been coming here for about 7months. My son did get a fungal infection the second week here from borrowing their boxing gloves so by the next week I got him his own pair. The other day the owner came in telling us(parents) about where we should/shouldnt park talking about hes told us over and over and this was honestly the first time myself and any of the parents there at the time had heard about it. We went out to go move the cars while the kids were in class, we didnt realize some of the kids(under 6yo) ran out behind us chasing the cars; it was concerning that they werent stopped by the owner or his staff at the entrance since they knew why the parents were stepping out. Also, he couldve been more professional in the way he let us know. I do feel he could have a better approach when dealing with the younger kids as sometimes its clear hes irritated. Lastly its ridiculously hot. Not sure if the AC doesnt work or if they choose not to turn it on but its over 100F outside. It heats up inside the building and the 42 commercial fan only does so much in such a large building. The kids are running back and forth in their class and its just too hot in there that after class my son says he feels nauseated. For the price we pay here wish theyd at least turn on the AC
