To clarify, the procedure to install the wiring harness was in fact done exactly the way it is supposed to be done. You called us after getting a price from the dealership to install a hitch & wiring and you were not happy with their price. We then special ordered the correct parts in for your Toyota. After everything was installed correctly, you didn't like the way the wiring was routed, which is the correct way the aftermarket wiring is supposed to be. You then told us to remove it. Our policy is no returns on special ordered items and a restock fee on returnable merchandise. I returned them with a restock fee even though they were special ordered. We are sorry that you were not satisfied, but be assured what we did was done correctly and the proper way.

I took our brand-new Toyota Highlander to Custom Truck to have a trailer hitch and wiring harness installed. Our experience was not very positive. They evidently did not know how to install the wiring harness on our Toyota. They seem very confused on what to do. They disassembled the back of the cargo area needlessly in hopes that they could figure out how to install the harness. They suggested that we could pull out the wire from under the floorboards and dangle it under the hatch door to connect it to the trailer. The installer said that we probably wouldn't be using it very much anyway. After about an hour I was at the end of my patients, evidently they did not know what they were doing. l told the manager to take wireing harness out. I didn't think the installation was professional. I also told the manager that Toyota installers would not dangle the wire under the hatchback. He commented that "this is not Toyota". He told me that if he removed the wiring harness he would have to charge me a restocking fee. I was very unhappy with the whole process and left Custom Truck without a trailer hitch and less $145 for restocking fee. Buyer beware!
