Computer Specialists have been in business for 32 years now and an outstanding reputation for honesty and fair dealing. This computer was left here for over a year and a number of attempts were made to contact the owner prior to disposal of equipment. We do have a 60 day "orphaned" policy, and we are unable to warehouse equipment for extended periods of time (We do allow a grace period past even that time.) Mailing equipment would have been an option, perhaps, if we had been contacted and the costs to do so covered. Unfortunately we do get a lot of equipment left that has a bill owing without followup from the owners, as is the case in this instance . It seems odd to us that something of importance would be left for such an extended period of time with no contact. We would have been much happier to have been paid for the service work and returned the equipment to the owner. This policy is prominently displayed at our checkin counter.

Sold my computer without me knowing. I had tons of pictures. If anything it could have been mailed.
Brought my phone in to see if they could repair. Stopped back in and was told it probably wasn't fixable but he could try to "clean up the board" a bit more for another hour, but that it probably still wouldn't work. That would bring my total to $60 instead of $30 as they charge $30/hour. I agreed with him that it probably wasn't coming back so I prepared to pay him his $30 when he offered to "recycle" the phone for me. I said it's ok I'll just keep it. Then he gave it to me completely disassembled in pieces and said "you can take it like this or I can put it back together for an additional $15. I was so shocked that he didn't just put it back together because it was completely intact when I brought it in. I had to agree because I couldn't reassemble it myself. So $45 later I was back where I started. Everyone I told about his $15 reassembly charge was shocked and disgusted.
