I wont go into huge detail, but it was pretty bad. Upon showing the owner these pictures, I was gaslighted. She told me it looked like heat damage, but shes never seen hair look like that unless it was from lightener. Huh? This was also only 2 days after the color was done. They dont do refunds even though I paid $450 and spent 4 hours at the salon for this. The haircut and color were the worst Ive ever had. Bleach was left on my head for an HOUR without reapplication or anything. Just say under a dryer with foils in my hair for an hour. Their haircut took all of 3 minutes, and I had to redo it myself right when I got home. There were two inch chunks of hair hanging past the perimeter of my hair all over my head. Im just glad they didnt touch my bangs. I cannot believe this was done by a professional salon. They offered to fix it, but I just fixed it myself because i got sick, thought about it and I just didnt trust it. So I spent another $200 for supplies and six hours of my personal time to fix their mistakes. Much better now. Thanks to myself. Probably shouldve just done that in the first place.
Average. Due to a transition, I was looking for a new salon. Receptionist seemed irritated when I requested a specific stylist (based on reviews). Took weeks to get in. The cut was a very quick experience - no wash before or after. No questions about what I wanted or how things were going. Felt rushed. The cut did not meet expectations but did the job. I understand a recent 2-star post where her hair was shaped poorly (was disappointed to read the reply from the owner on a few of the posts - how harsh she addresses any type of criticism). Glad that my previous stylist has relocated to another salon and is up and running it is hard to find the right fit. The staff and stylist were pleasant enough - decided on a 3 star. (Changed to a 2 star after a few weeks....could not tell how bad the shape was.)
I have been going to Kelly for my cut and color for years, and she does not disappoint! She has mastered the balayage. I always get compliments on my color, even long after it has grown out!
I've been coming to Salon Vici for a couple years now and I can't imagine going anywhere else! Kelly is absolutely amazing! Everyone in the salon is super friendly and I always feel relaxed and refreshed when I leave.
Jenn, this is Jennifer Bremer the owner of the salon. I am sorry it has taken me this long to respond to your review on here. I waited a little while as I was waiting for the right words to come to me. I was actually in the salon that evening of your appointment. I had come back to the salon that evening for an interview. At the moment of your appointment I was actually walking around cleaning, which you spoke negatively about in the review. From my knowledge the salon was the last thing from dirty as that is ALWAYS a high priority to me. Now, you being a new client to us, you may not understand we are in the middle of a remodel and that might be what you mean by your mention of the cleanliness. As I was walking around cleaning, I was listening to my stylist Kailey speak with you Jenn. And to be 100% truthful I thought to myself I was very impressed with the enthusiasm and how engaged she was with you at your appointment. I was inpressed as the rapport seemed great between you two and it seemed like there was a great communication back and forth. It did actually make me stop to listen and it was so pleasant to listen to. She said she asked you show her exactly where you were wanting your length to lay so she could make sure she put it at the length you requested. She did say she was confident in leaving it at where you wanted. She did say she assumed with how you wanted it styled, as she said you kept using the terms 'smooth' multiple times she assumed you wanted it smooth. This is something we should never do in any aspect of life is assume things. This would have been a very easy fix if you would have kindly asked her to actually use more of your natural texture as making it straight or that smooth isnt realistic in your day to day. For anyone reading this out there, please have communication with us as we do actually want to know these things. We can't fix or change something if we do not know the issue ESP when you are a new client. These are little things we learn about each person the more we see them and get to work with their hair. I asked Kailey about the time issue and she said there wasn't anything she skipped out on as the whole service was very throughly done. I do apologize for that though as there is always little things we can do as stylists to make sure our clients really feel taken care of in the salon. For that I do very much apologize, and lastly I talked with her about the color and her not mentioning it. When I asked her, I saw her shoulders sink back at this as she knew she messed up and felt very bad about this. This was absolutely something that was missed and that shouldn't have been. I will repeat this over till I am blue in the face because its true. I care about every being that walks in that door, so this right here makes me sad, as none of this is what we want (someone to be unhappy) I am always here to try to make things right if there is anything I or we can ever do for you in the future. Made an appointment 3 weeks in advance for a cut/style with Kailey. Our free consultation went great. She seemed interested in getting me what I wanted color and cut wise. An hour before my appointment the salon calls asking if I could come in early to another stylist. I said no and they seemed very irritated. I show up to my appointment on time and from the very start she seemed very rushed and just wanting to get done. I showed her a photo of what I wanted (shown below on right side). Naturally I have very wavy hair and had a decent length- about 8 inches below the shoulder. I told her I wanted it choppy and messy and she agreed right below the shoulder would look best. She cut it and it was AT the shoulder when wet so instead of styling it like I told her I normally do (I said I air dry and rarely straighten it if going out) she dried it straight and put smoothing gel in it. In my opinion this was done to get as much length as possible since the wavy nature of it would have made it much shorter than what I asked for. With my natural wave, it sits about an inch above the shoulder! She asked if the length was ok at the end. I said yea. What was I suppose to say? It was already cut and done. Needless to say she never did bring up the color options she told me to decide on (which I did bring photos). I wasnt going to bring it up since everything was so rushed. Ive been to salons before and Ive been to great clips before. This was definitely on par for a great clips cut so if your looking for a salon experience Id skip this place. Total time I was in the chair from start to finish was 7:20-7:42 when i picked my phone up getting out of the chair. 2 star for the cleanliness of the salon and easy scheduling online.
