My 8 year old daughter has been taking lessons with Hayden since she expressed an interest in learning to play the ukulele last fall. Her progress has been fantastic! Hayden is great with her, drawing her out even though she is quiet and shy. He started with songs that she knew and could play after learning just a few chords to build up her excitement and confidence before turning to more traditional practice routines and music theory. He keeps it fun and engaging for her, and the bonus of him coming to our house is just the frosting on the cake.

We started working with Hayden when my son was 8 years old. Hayden was our first guitar teacher and Vocal Coach. When my son turned 10 he was already performing in front of audiences at Kid friendly venues in LA. Then we decided to move closer to studio city to pursue music professionally. We worked with many Hollywood vocal coaches, took many overpriced lessons. However, my son continuously felt like he was learning and benefiting from Haydens teaching & technique the most. He went back to working with Hayden again but on a different level. Hayden started teaching him how write and produce songs on Logic. My son is 18 now. He can write, produce, sing and play a guitar. We cant thank Hayden enough for building such a strong foundation for my son at such a young age. We would highly recommend any one at any age to work with such a knowledgeable and multitalented instructor.

I'm 28, and Hayden helped me rekindle my love for music like I was in high school all over again. We do 30-minute sessions on Zoom once a week. The sound and video quality are latency-free. I use a blue yeti and my laptop for every lesson. My internet speed is 100 MBPS. It is working out well. For us, 30 minutes means I have a song I want to refine or learn. If I come empty-handed, then he has a lesson for me. He is attentive about how I play the guitar and sing. He provides constructive feedback, and we drill it again. We go over a little theory relating to the song and connect concepts from one piece to another. That way, I understand what I am doing. Then I get a little homework/suggestions to work on between lessons. I may be tooting my own horn, but I feel and hear progress in my musical skills. My wife says so too lol.

I was fortunate enough to take guitar lessons from Hayden for a few years starting when I was 12 years old. He immediately had a profound impact on my perception of the guitar; sharing his skills and knowledge, introducing me to legendary artists and the complex techniques they used, while giving me the direction and guidance I needed to develop a solid foundation and push my abilities as a guitar player. In the 10+ years since Ive seen him, his lessons and words are still echoing in the back of my mind, I constantly find myself playing songs and even disciplinary exercises that he taught me long ago to continually help improve my playing and grow. Hayden is a master at drawing out the love of learning and playing music in a fun and joyful way in everyone. We have three of our children taking lessons from him (all doing different instruments) and they are all progressing quickly, while pushing to challenge themselves to learn more. Hayden is so talented, and can adjust to the different learning style of each of our kids, plays along with them, and teaches both vocals and instrument at the same time. Mixing in both old and new songs, as well as technology, he keeps our children engaged in the learning process. Very grateful for his teaching!!!
