Small museum, not much to see, best part of our visit was meeting a local who did some pre Woodstock style concerts in the area and told us crazy stories of hanging out with the bikers and the bands

This place is a must to see...the way the presentations are set up allows you the enjoy them and take your time. Try not to miss out on any of the movie presenetations, they all provide excellent information and tries to make you feel that moment in time....wear a tie-dye shirt and let your hair down...

Don't bother going. The museum costs $20.00 each to get in. Other than that, whoever designed this completely missed the true feeling of the Woodstock experience:. Peace, Love, Rock and Roll! The buildings are brown, not bright colors. They're well kept, but they remind me of a rest stop on an interstate highway. There is no Warmth, nothing "Cool", no Peace signs, no Love signs, no 1969 Peter Max or "Groovy" paraphernalia. What a waste of a day. I hope that when they have concerts in the summer it will have some excitement. This was absolutely depressing. Whoever designed this might as well get a job with an Urban Renewal project somewhere else and let some artists decorate this incredible portion of history in the timeframe that made it memorable. Could you imagine if the same builder decided to take some other historical landmarks, gut them and install Formica and stainless steel? This is what they did to Bethel. Very Sad.
