Had my car breakdown out of town in Columbia....I had it towed to Joe Machens because I have 2 Chrysler's and have had good luck with my Lou fuse dealership.....mistake...they quoted me 1200 for a heater hose and a thermostat.....at most shops this would run around 400.....So I took it down the street and spent 425.....don't let them take advantage of you.

As a first-time customer at the end of August 2019, I anticipated the purchase process would be a great experience and lead to possible future transactions. The actuality was far from that, and highly disconcerting based on the following: 1) downpayment was withdrawn after two days and title was not released until 19 days after sale date due to lien from prior owner, which is illegal under Missouri Revised Statute 301.210; 2) title and prepared application were incorrectly completed with inflated sale/net prices; 3) attempt to not absorb cost of cracked windshield replacement by offering less value on trade-in and not offering advertised "Sale Price"; 4) operated unhorsing scam practice by selling trade-in to an outstate dealer via Backlotcars (learned only after initial claim of not knowing, direction to contact local auctioneers who had no records and/or relationship, then stating the information couldn't be released) prior to completing title transfer of new car; 5) theft of my specialty license plates by failing to remove from trade-in, which then required demanding their return and having to track down personally; 6) financing employee only presented step level repayment plans instead of clearly indicating these were optional(!!) extended warranties, then acted shocked and inferred it was a problem to redo the paperwork when I questioned his deceptive practice; 7) spare tire provided was only given as components, which necessitated additional time and payment to another retailer to complete assembly; 8) failure to return phone calls and text messages including up to the Dealership Manager; and 9) congested parking and physical setup of sales building does not facilitate excellent service including inattentive and conversing employees located behind screened partitions. No customer should be the recipient of these kind of unscrupulous practices; all are strongly cautioned from engaging in business with this predatory and frankly slipshod dealer.

Focused on protecting their customers Most of the customer service team is wonderful to work with; they listen, explain, follow up with updates and phone calls, and try to make service a really good experience. Some of them are not like that, so I pick and choose whom I deal with. They care for my vehicle, give me a loaner when it is a long period of time, and have picked me up and dropped me off when I really need it. Many times more problems are found, but they call before they make any repairs. A few, in particular, have actually saved me money by giving me options or potential service discounts. I have even come in an emergent situation with a low tire or computer question/problem, and they took me immediately and sent me on my way! I take all of my vehicles, and they are not Dodges, to be serviced there because of this.

Upon walking in the service door I waited almost 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and there was only two people being helped and looked to be 5 service people at desks (two dealing with customers and three talking or working on computer). Then the oil change and tire rotation took 1 hr and 20 minutes and that is because I walked outside to see my vehicle sitting outside so it appeared to be done. No one notified me. Not sure how long it was out there. I had to ask the checkout counter person is my vehicle done and then she got someone to bring up the paperwork to allow for checkout. Not sure what happened or why I wasn't notified of vehicle being done. I bought the two oil change and tire rotation package so I will have to go back one more time. Hopefully the service is a lot better than this one. Everyone was very nice but the time waiting to get help and time spent on service and not being notified and me having to see my vehicle out there to ask if it was done is not good service I feel. Hope everyone else has better service than I but this was mine ordeal from 1230 to 2pm on a Thursday.
