We had a terrible experience at Rotolo Chevrolet. We went in to get a simple commuter car. Online, it was advertised as about $15k. The sticker price on the car went we got to the lot was $16,500 but the salesperson assured us it is "Chevy Confidence days" and that this month only we would pay what the dealership was paying for the car. He said he would confirm the pricing for us. The car itself (a Sonic) was a nice, basic car. However, when we got back after the test drive, the salesperson started pressuring us to buy the car today rather than wait to sell our current car. He said "Well what if we can give you what you want to sell it for?" My objection was that we didn't have the car with us at the time. No problem, he says. We can go by the information you give us. Then he agreed to give us $5200 for our trade in without even looking at it. I started to get suspicious that something was not right. Then, he indicated the car we want is $19k not $16500 (or about $15k as it was online). When I started objecting to the price he said "Well you want the automatic transmission and the turbo feature, right?" I again asked about the Chevy Confidence days price and he seemed to get angry and said, "Look, we are going to make a deal today." However, before they even ran our credit he quoted us $360 a month for 60 months if we also put down another $2000 in cash. Now, let's run through the math. $5200 for trade-in + $2000 in cash up front + ($360 x 60 months) = $7,200 + $21,600 = $28,800 for a basic model Sonic with cloth seats and a four cylinder engine. When I told the salesperson that doesn't sound right, we are going to have to think on it and come back later, he got angry and said "What do you need to think about?" I got angry too and demanded our credit application back. He refused to give it to me until I spoke with his manager who reluctantly gave it back after he admitted they had not run our credit yet. I checked around and the credit score we gave to the salesperson is considered good to very good. At Toyota, we qualify for a 0% interest rate so we will be taking our business there and saving over $10k.
I explained to the service guy my clutch pedal was making a noise when I pressed it in. He said that he would have the guy who did the oil change check it out and explained those service guys are there during the week I work 40hrs 5 days a week. He said they couldnt find anything wrong. Needless to say my clutch pedal is still making a squeaking noise. Please help any suggestions???
James listened to my needs and was able to show me a vehicle that totally worked for me, one I hadn't even considered in the past. I was treated fairly and with respect. No hard sell, just an honest desire to get me into the vehicle I wanted. I honestly believe they want every person who walks into the dealership to have a good experience, even if they aren't able to sell them a car. I am actually looking forward to taking my Equinox back in for it's first service. The experience was that good.
This was my first time buying a new car. I was recently in a very bad car accident that totalled my car, i must addmit i was extreamly nervous going into the dealership not only because of it being my first time but also just the thought of getting behind the wheel again. I had scheduled an appointment with Lucy Sanchez that day, and right when i met her she made me feel very comfortable. She was super friendly and had an answer to all my questions, she knows her stuff! We had a good time from the beging all the way to the end, She helped me find my "dream car", overall it was a wonderfull experience and I will be sure to recomend Rotolo Chevrolet to anyone. Angelica was also great, she really took the time to explain everything to me before i signed anything, and she was very patient and not pushy at all. If you get to read this Lucy and Angelica, Thank you so much for everything, you guys rock!
Rudeness people on the face of the planet. They're nothing but super well dress monkeys line up like a bunch of vultures. Can't even even take a drive around without getting accosted. And you best believe I've been there a few times and I've found that the only nice people there are the some of the mechanics. Others then that everyone just seems to be a complete a holes.
