Overall painless experience. Garrett patiently provided a number of used trucks for us to look at over a 2 day period. Paying close attention to our truck needs and our price limit. Never felt pressured to over spend or chose a truck that didnt suit our needs. In the end we purchased a very clean used Dodge 1500 truck at a price BELOW our target number! Garrett provided a complete vehicle history, even noting anecdotes about the previous owner who he had worked with on a trade-in. Very helpful knowing the previous owner and how the truck was used. I am a previous Dodge truck owner, and am actually enjoying driving this "older" model better than my previous 2011. Our "new" truck is great so far,and I also feel if any issues popped up that the guys at Rairdons would be helpful in resolving it. I would recommend, and use Rairdon's again..thanks guys!
Oh my goodness.... Where to start with this place!! DON'T DO IT!! Problem #1: I bought a car from them in October 2012. It was a 2010 Subaru and I was told it was still under warranty because it wasn't 3 years old yet and had under 36k miles. After taking it to a legit Subaru dealership for a 30k tune-up, they informed me of several "problems". I asked for them to be fixed as it was still under warranty, and they informed me it was not. The car was purchased in late 2009 and therefore was 3 years old. Problem #2: As part of the purchase, I requested they install navigation and a back-up camera. I had the car 2 days before bringing it back to have the stereo installed. Several days later when I went to pick the car up, they had put over 80 miles on the car and left me an empty tank (it was near half full when I dropped it off). Whats worse is my boyfriend IMMEDIATELY noticed an LARGE crunch in the bumper, as if someone had backed into something. We went back to the front desk furious, and the sales department and managers insisted it was like that when I'd dropped it off. I can assure you there was not a dent on the car when I dropped it off. After much arguing they decided to call the third party who did the actual install (some company in Everett). They denied fault but Rairdon's eventually offered to foot the repair bill. This repair will now show on my CarFax and will lower my car's value when I try and sell it in the future. The repair took 3 weeks to complete and I was given a rental car in the meantime. The first rental was large SUV (my car was small with MUCH better gas mileage) and was given to me with an empty tank. After driving this 75 miles roundtrip a day for work for a week, I asked for a smaller, more comparable car and was give an Avenger with again an empty tank. Finally when my car was ready to be picked up, they gave it to me with the gas light on Empty. Problem #3: Yes I probably should have learned my lesson at this point and avoided this dealership like the plague, I received a free oil change for buying my car from them, so I wanted to redeem it. After bringing my car home, my boyfriend noticed a large oil leak. I called the dealership to ask if I could bring it back to fix and they said no one was able to look at it that day and I could make an appointment for tomorrow possibly. I knew I would be out of oil in my car by then so I had my boyfriend look at it. Luckily he is mechanically inclined and was able to tighten the oil drain plug, which they had forgotten to do! Please save yourself the time, frustration, over-payment, hassle, and car problems by staying the HELL away from this hellhole!
When it came time to purchase a new vehicle, my wife and I began looking online. Based upon what we could see, Rairdon's had a great selection of vehicles, and even though they were a 2 hour drive from my home, I felt it was worth the drive to go see the vehicles in person. When we arrived, we were not let down. My wife and I were in the market for a Jeep Wrangler, and Rairdon's had a remarkable selection. Working with the sales team was pleasant, as they didn't push anything on us, but simply listened to our needs and provided information about the different models and features available that fit our needs. Once we agreed on the vehicle, negotiating and agreeing on a price was nearly as pleasant, and quite the opposite from what I have experienced in the past at other dealerships. Lastly, the follow-up and customer service at Rairdon's has been excellent. I have owned the Jeep now for just over a year, and my dealings with the service and parts department have prompted me to provide a review for Rairdon's. Normally, I do not take the time to write reviews, but since this dealership has been pleasant to work with, and gone above and beyond, I felt compelled to do so. Based upon my experience with Rairdon's, I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family, and I will be shopping at Rairdon's when it comes time to purchase my next vehicle.
It is hard for me to enjoy the sales aspect of the car buying experience because of the heavy negotiation/salesmanship that is inherent in the process. But the overall experience at Rairdon was one of the best I have had. The salesman Garrett, was really personable and was shockingly helpful as I was going through the evaluation process. The sales negotiation was totally reasonable and didn't bother me. Most importantly, after buying the vehicle I have had several questions or needed something done and Garrett and the staff were equally helpful after they had the sale as they were before. Which is nice. And it isn't totally out of selflessness, they seem to understand that a happy customer will make for return customers. I appreciate people that take that approach. Long story short, I would strongly recommend Rairdon Dodge in general and Garrett as a sales guy.

My complaint is with the convoluted process revolving around getting an oil change. According to Rairdon's service department, you "cannot make an appointment to have your oil changed." Seriously?! Apparently, oil changes are a service exclusively provided by the "Mopar Express" lane. The problem with that is that Mopar Express personnel will not allow you to make an appointment. When I spoke with the general service advisors, they informed me that their "service technicians get very busy, and typically don't make appointments for something as minor as an oil change." What that boils down to is that whenever you want an oil change, it's essentially a roll of the dice that determines how long you'll be waiting. Fittingly, that's not something the people in the sales department mention when pitching you the benefits of their service plan before rolling it into the life of your auto loan. I think you should inform people that there's nothing "Express" about preventing your customers from making an appointment to have their oil changed. Strangers can walk in and out of a Jiffy Lube/Midas/Grease Monkey in 20 minutes, but I can't give you $40,000+ and get an oil change in under an hour. That's the definition of poor service.
