Zero stars if possible. Airbag recall service. Also inquired about belt noise. 945am appt. Had vehicle all day. What is the point of an appt? Called me at 236pm, "brakes need replacement". What? How about airbag and belt? "Let me call you back." Call at 257pm, belt will cost X. Tell them to hold off and just do the recall. No call, no text when finished. I stop by at 5pm asking about status. "Oh, it's done." Thanks for no call or text...NOT. Leave with car, notice airbag light on dash. Return to service dept. "I am so sorry, I didnt notice that light this morning. That has nothing to do with the airbag recall service. You will need to schedule an appt." At least they apologized, although it did not sound genuine, more like "Ehh, stuff happens." Summary: Service was for airbag recall, yet service technician nor "customer service" rep notice an airbag indicator light on the dash. Will not return, second such experience. Overheard customer service rep sigh in disgust with a loud "Geez!" after talking with a customer on the phone explaining their repairs. Your backstage is showing. Don't let the audience see it. You can do better. Update 1.7.2020: No phone contact from Director or Service Manager. Took vehicle to another dealer. Said brakes and belt were fine...no upcharge. Regarding airbag indicator light, diagnosed as bad driver door sensor. ALL airbags were non functioning. Fixed it. Serra Subaru performed an airbag recall, yet did not see indicator light which would have shown all airbags inoperable. Sent the customer and vehicle out-the-door on their way. THAT is incompetence on the part of the service technician, huge liability and unsafe.
We are sorry for your experience. It is unfortunate that each state processes registrations and plates on their own scheduled pace. We are truly looking for ways to expedite this process.

Their process for getting plates to out of state buyers can take up to 45 days but the temporary paperwork I received expired after 30 days resulting in me being pulled over by the police and searched. Resulting in extensive damage to my brand new vehicle by a canine search dog. They accept no responsibility for this highly flawed process that could potentially result in their customers being searched, fined or arrested. I was not informed of the potential 45 day wait but I probably signed something without reading the small print. Had I been VERBALLY informed of this information I never would have purchased my car at Serra. The old adage is true: BUYER BEWARE.

Jenya thank you for sharing your concerns. When you brought the vehicle in for the seasonal tire swap you had asked for a diagnostic to be performed as well. We provided the inspection which was completed by a Subaru Factory Trained and Certified technician. It was found that the rear brake pads were at 1mm, all four rotors were warped and needed to be replaced (could not be resurfaced), both rear wheel bearings badly worn and making noise contributing to the vibration you asked us to look into. Our standard rate to swap winter tires is $20.00 per tire. You were billed $80.00 plus tax and the inspection, diagnostic and quote were not billed. We have attempted to call you multiple times and have been unsuccessful. We strive to provide a 5 Star experience and wish we would have been able to accomplish that for you.

If you ever wonder where stereotypes of shady salespeople come from it's from places like Subaru Service Center. Especially if you are a woman, be prepare to be taken advantage of when it comes to cost estimates and "upsells" to the services you don't need. I took my Subaru in for a seasonal tire swap this spring. Not only did I get charged $30 extra for tire swap from the original $50 quote, but they also came back with $2600 quote for "urgent, necessary repairs". After we purchased all the "necessary" parts based on their inspection elsewhere and took it to another shop, the mechanic called us back asking: "why did you buy all this stuff? There is nothing wrong with your vehicle". A real special experience...
